What Makes Good Art?, Part III

What Makes Good Art?, Part III

Missing something?  Check out What Makes Good Art?, Part I, and What Makes Good Art?, Part II.

We just finished our discussion of L’Hallali Du Cerf, by Gustave Courbet.  The previous posts, What Makes Good Art?, Part I, and What Makes Good Art?, Part II, covered general elements that tend to be present in anything that’s considered ‘good art.’

We also looked at some amazing Daz Studio Renders that employed those elements to great effect, but we didn’t want to stop there — the Daz Gallery is filled with renders that use Concept, Composition, Color Coordination, Lighting, and Balance to capture the viewer’s attention!

We love the Concept in Angel’s Dance:

The Composition in Watermill in Winter Mood is astounding:

Child of Zeus takes full advantage of Color Coordination:

The Lighting in Looking for her Prince is extraordinary:

Balance (and its counterpart, imbalance) is used to great effect in A Country Tale 001:
