Reality 4.3 installation

Hello,

I purchased Reality 4.3 on March 6, 2017 (order number 104537148) but I did not install it then because I planned to get a new computer at that time. I had some unexpected bills though and am, for the time being, stuck with my old computer. So early this morning I downloaded Reality and installed it to DAZ as well as Luxrender.

It seemed to install okay and I was able to load some lights to a test scene however, when I click on "Reality Render" nothing seems to happen so I click on it again and I get the attached error and DAZ locks up entirely. I'm not really good with technical problems but hope someone has a suggestion for straightening this out. Thanks much in advance.

    When you say "as well as luxrender" are you saying you also downloaded and installed luxrender separately? If so, do not do that, lux installs automatically with reality.

    Once you have reality installed correctly, open daz, then launch reality and go to the advanced tab and make sure it is correctly pointed at the location of the luxrender installation.

    Lastly, when you say you loaded lights, did you load reality mesh lights? Reality does not use daz lighting (with caveats, but basically true), when you install reality there will be a reality folder in your library with various reality related things, including a lights folder. Use those. I do not think your error is related to possibly using daz instead of reality lights but worth pointing out if you are flying by the seat of your pants in your reality experiment.

    Thank you so much for messaging him and for the response. I did load Reality mesh lights from the Reality folder and they loaded fine. I did download Luxrender separately too so might that interfere with rendering using Reality in DAZ? Confusing, lol.

    I had an earlier version of Reality installed but I thought the new installation would uninstall it. I wonder if that's causing interference.

    Not sure about whether you can install over previous versions, might depend on which previous version it was. For ex I thing reality 2 and 4 can coexist without issue.

    Well I tried registering at Paolo's website so I could ask about this problem directly but, even though I got the message that it would send an activation code to the email address supplied, I did not receive an email (yes I checked my spam folder, lol.) 

    I've spent most of the day on this, very frustrating.

    Can ANYONE assist with this problem please? I've tinkered about, uninstalling and reinstalling not only Reality but DAZ studio as well but I still get this error when I try to render. I really don't want to have to request a refund on this product. See attached image for the error code. Thanks.

    im haveing this issue also my daz 3d wont even load up though can anyone help?

    So DS is partially opening, and giving the error alert posted above, or it isn't opening at all (and presumably then isn't giving the alert)? Please give more details of your system and of what is happening.
