Genesis with other figures?

Hi, I understand that alot of the figures are created with Genesis.
But I wonder, i dont have M4 or M2-3 nor do I have M5 etc but if a figured in the store is Compatible with lets say M4 can I use it on my Genesis figure?? For example The Clown Clan in the store.....

No, not without using another plugin called GenerationX (GenX) from the store here. http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-generation-x

Clothing for M4, V4 and K4, can be used with Genesis using the Autofit plugin which comes as part of DS4.6, but they are two completely different figures, so characters made for the M4 figure cannot be applied to Genesis.

To use the Generation X plugin, you also need to have the M4 shapes for Genesis http://www.daz3d.com/v4-and-m4-shapes-for-genesis

The Clown Clan skin textures you could use on Genesis--no additional purchase necessary. The morphs, though, would not (you'd need V4 base, M4 base, V4 Morphs++, M4 Morphs++, the V4 and M4 Shapes for Genesis, AND the GenX plug-in in order to convert the morphs).

thanks, but clothing works without any plugin just autofit? Or did I missunderstand that? Like the viking pack for older michael model, does it work on genesis?

Clothing made for V4, M4, or K4 will AutoFit to Genesis. Resutls do vary...usually tight-fitting things work quite well, while shoes, dresses, skirts, and flowing robes, etc. may not.

Clothing made for 3rd Generation figures will AutoFit to Genesis if you own the Gen 3 Iconic Shapes (or the David 3 shape, which is sold separately, in the case of clothing for David 3).

Clothing made for Genesis 2 Female characters will AutoFit if you have the G2F Clone.

Clothing like the Viking Pack that was made for 1st or 2nd Generation figures won't AutoFit to Genesis.

I believe that Roberto Melo (who made the new Celt clothing) is working on some Viking clothes for Genesis...
