DAZ Studio 4:10 Pro, parameter settings

Hi all,

I ran into something rather strange. Perhaps I inadvertently changed one of my settings in Studio. I don't know but here's the problem. When I go to the parameters tab in studio, then click on a part of a figure, say a thigh or fore arm, it just goes to the whole figure! In other words, I can't click on a certain body part and go directly to that part to begin transforming it where as in the past I could.

So my question, why is this happening? Did I somehow do something to change this or could it be a problem with the program itself?

Thanks!

I am told to tell you

With the Universal Tool active, look for the Node Selection Mode setting near the bottom of the Tool Settings pane. The default value, and the current behavior you describe, is Root Node First. For the behavior you describe wanting, set the value to Node.

Normally, you select once, to select the object, then you select again to get to a bone. If you only have one object, and it is selected, you would not observe that behavior. (Or, if you previously turned off "select root node first".)

If that is happening in a MENU-LIST, that is not normal operation. (Such as the "Parameters tab" or the "Scene tab".)

Also note... If you select the model in the render window, it will NOT always select the "Root node first", in the parameters window. It will select the eyelashes as if they were a root-node, in the "Parameters" window, but in the "Scene" window, it selects the actual root-node. (For some inconsistant reason. I am not going to ask why they think eyelashes deserve a whole individual "top-level node", as the body, complete with a whole individual "skeleton"... for eyelashes... Now, apparently, they are a whole individual object accessory, confusing the whole selection process.)
