Facegen Error

Hi. I've been using both Daz Studio and Facegen for some time with no problem. This week I installed the new Daz Studio 4.11 Public Beta version, and made a new Facegen installation. The only difference from previous installations is that this time I had to move my (only the) Daz Studio Content to some another drive due to space issues. The thing is that Facegen seems to not recognize the Daz installation and keeps telling me all the time that DAZ is not installed. I guess the problem is that I haven't found the way to redirect Facegen to the proper Daz path. Any clue with this respect? Please. I would appreciate a lot your comments in this regard. Thanks

Well, I'm no expert. But I recently moved all my content to an external drive. I still have Daz Studio installed on my C drive and FaceGen is also installed on my C drive. I don't have the Beta installed.
But FaceGen still works for me without an error.
Are both applications on the same drive? Perhaps they need to be installed on the same drive.
As far as the content goes, you can only have one connect library. You can have multiple DIM and other poser content libraries, although DIM is only going to install to the one you specify in it's settings. (You do have to list the Daz DIM libraries under the Daz and Poser folders. If you don't some thimgs might not work. When I set up my new machine, I copied the libraries over. I only put the DIM library under the Daz folder. But not under the Poser Folder. And then Micheal 4 wouldn't show up in my content no matter how may times I installed him. I even tried a creating a new DIM install location. Finally I compared what was on my old pc and that's where I learned that the DIM content needs to be listed under both folders.) But that doesn't seem to be your problem.
According to the FaceGen documents...if you want to use a new library location, all you need to do is the directories in you Content Management Database in Daz and then close the application. And then when you open FaceGen, it will read the new locations automatically. This works as I found that FaceGen was listing the new directories...I think it was on the file tab.
They do have a few help documents on their website, although none seemed address your issue. But they do have support. Perhaps you could contact them.
I'm wondering if Daz Studio and FaceGen need to be installed on the same drive.
Thanks KevinH and Dave230. I guess Dave230 is right, I`ve always had both Daz (Release and Beta) versions installed in the same drive and hadn't experienced something like this. But this time I jonly wanted to use the Beta version. I'll install the Release version and see what happens. Thanks again.
