How to adjust hair and clothes to hang, rather than cling

I am relatively new to DS.  (Actually have more hours logged categorizing purchased products than creating scenes with them!!)  I would appreciate it if someone would provide suggestions as how to adjust hair or garments.  With toon girl, the hair sticks to her neck, rather than hanging naturally; and as you can see, this chap has a bad case of static electricity going on.  Thank you for your time and assistance!

  • Check to see what morphs are included. You might also look at dForce, not everything responds well but many clothes do and people have had success with some hairs.

This is often caused by Auto-Fit,  Try this -

    1. Load character & leave in the default pose
    2. Select the hair you wish to use but don't load it into the scene just yet
    3. Make sure nothing in the scene is selected & then load the hair
    4. Manually position the hair to the correct place
    5. Parent the hair to the character's head

    Hopefully this helps

Another option, if there isn’t a good morph and dForce won’t work, is to use a deformer. Harder for the clothing case, but would be relatively straightforward for the hair, I think. Use a weight map to limit the deformer to the ends of the hair, then maybe x/y scale to move it outward away from the neck.
