The grasp controller comes from the Body Morphs pack, I think, so make sur that is installed.
What happens when you try to AutoFit an item?

I was wrong, Fingers Grasp is part of the Starter essentials, as is the Genesis 3 Clone for use in AutoFit. it sounds as if your instalaltion of Genesis 8 Starter essentials or Genesis 8 female Starter Essentials, depending n whether you used Connect or Install Manager, is broken - please try uninstalling and reinstalling. Also, is the Content management System running generally - do you have categories listed in the Content Library pane and in Smart Content?
Is it giving an error, or appearing to install but not being available?
i have another problem
i cant install daz studio 4.11 or 4.10 with dim it wont show up on my desktop
i am installing it through the dim but it wont install it says its intstalled but its not on my desktop ail

For the applications, have you tried clicking the Start button/Windows logo button at lower-left and looking under Daz 3D in the folder list to see if the icons are there?
yes i did those icons are there
OK, I don't think DS has been creating a desktop icon - at least on upgrade isntalls - for some time, I always used to delete them (it's already pinned to my task bar) and don't recall having to do so recently. You can always make your own icon by dragging the application file from the isntall directory to your desktop.
its not installing in dim it takes two seconds to install
then it says in dim its installed
And it isn't running if you click its entry in Start>Daz 3D?
i cant even find the launch icon

No, betas have to be installed through Install Manager to make sure they can coexist with the release version.
ok so i should stick with 4.10 for now play it safe ?
The betas are separate from the release build -that's one of the things that isntalling through DIM is for - so it shouldn't be a matter of being safe.

That's up to you, we don't know when the 4.11 series will become a general release so there's no knowing how long a wait it will be.

But it is showing as installed? If you right-click on it in the Installed tab and select Show Installed Files from the menu you will get a window with clickable links listing the file locations - if you use those to open a file browser are the fiels there, and can you launch DS from the application file in that folder?

no no error you just see the bar fill up when downloading and then the install bar fills up and thats it
nothing else happens then when i click on the install tab its there in the list as installed but no icon on the desktop
OK, but if you right-click and seelct View Installed files, then use the link to go to the folder do you find, and can you run, the application? The desktop shortcut is just that - a shortcut, it isn't actually a vital part of the application.
