Merge multiple objects into one??

How do I merge multiple objects to get only one?

For example, when using text figures, each letter is a different object.... But, I would like to transform the whole sentence into a single object, instead of getting 1 object for each letter.
I hope I have been able to pass on my doubt in a way that you understand.

Thanks!

  • Is this in Daz Studio? If you want a single static object the simplest option woudl be to hide everything you don't want, export as OBJ, and reimpor the OBJ (using the same preset in the options dialogue).

  • Yeah, that's it at Daz Studio. I've already done this (exporting as OBJ and re-importing the OBJ to the scene in Daz)
but... if I open the OBJ in Blender for example, (even after it has been re-imported) still all remain separate. Not be really a single solid object....
Which i really liked, was a way to really merge everything inyo one solid object.

When you open an obj in Blender, you have to take care to NOT have split selected. Use KEEP VERT ORDER.

    Thanks for this tip!
In fact it worked in the Blender and saved the stl in this way. However, I tried to print my figure, and when I opened the stl in the Meshmixer, the program showed everything separated again, I got confused .... I really wanted to turn all the layers into a single block   :/

  • This is probably down to how the import in your destination application handles groups. DS does hae options in the exporter that may help - you could simply uncheck "Use groups", for example or you might want to try a diffrent option - it will depend on how much you need to be able to select parts of the emsh in the destination application.
