Genesis 8 female

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I hope I am posting this in the right place....

I can't find the base genesis 8 female on the daz3d.com site for purchase. 
I downloaded the free "starter essentials" thinking they were giving her away like the rest of the characters, but everything was installed to "MyDaz3dLibrary/data and I can't find the Genesis 8 Female.duf, Genesis 8 female.png  or any textures.  
I did get Morphs, Projection morphs, projection templates, tools, uv sets, and Genesis8female.dsf along with Female Eyelashes and Female Genitalia.  
Is this all I need?  If so I don't have a clue as to where to put them in mylibrary?

Can anyone help me figure it out?

    Are you downloading and installing manually? Or using DIM? Or Connect (installing from within DAZ Studio)?

    It sounds like you are doing it manually - if so you need to go here: https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_42071 and the file with G8F in is this one:

    When you unzip it, it should have a top level folder called "Content" - you need to move/copy everything inside that folder to MYDaz3dLibrary which should then have the following folders:

     

    Capture.JPG
    816 x 529 - 74K
    Capture.JPG
    785 x 116 - 18K

    How did you install, those files are the back-end asset files and should not be appearing in the content views in DS (and you won't get the genitalia without purchasing an adult female 8 Pro bundle for Genesis 8).

    If you were using DIM and it didn't install correctly, I suggest you uninstall it and try installing it again - it should be creating the same set of folders in the second image above.

    You don't need to purchase G8F, they are part of the package. From your post, I take it you downloaded the Genesis 8 Starter Essentials?

    If yes, they contain the basic things for G8F and M.

    Did you install manually, or through the install manager, or through connect? (This is a Step-by-step about installing Non-DAZ content to DS, with images: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/927004/#Comment_927004 but it should work for manual DAZ content installation, too.)

    I don't use Smart content, but in the Content Directory, you can find her when you follow People --> Genesis 8 Female
