Cannot categorize MFDExp1 for G3

I have categorized the morphing fantasy dress for G8 G3 and G2, but with G3 I had no problem Getting the folders with just the dress and Exp2 to categorize but Exp1 just will not show up where I am categorizing it. I have done each folder exactly the same way and while the folder name shows up where it should there are no icons in the folder. How can I get this one folder to categorize ? I did uninstall and reinstall, refreshed the folders, tried to select all the icons in the content library and then categorize, nothing works. If I go to G3/clothes/MFD its all there and will load so it definitely works.

In the product library (not your categories) go to the folder with the G3 MFD Exp1 and right-click on any item in the folder and select Categorize...
This will open up a tree structure to show if and where that item is categorized. If it is, the folder will be highlighted and you can follow the path down the tree.
Alternatively, right-click on the folder and select Edit Metadata... Select an item in the top half and the Categories tab in the bottom half to see which categories it is part of. (Interesting to note that this particular product has no default category like Exp2, no metadata, no thumbnail in DIM).
If it shows something valid, but doesn't show in your custom categories in the Content Library, you may have to do a little more than reinstall. This has happened to me a couple of times. Uninstall, then go to Products tree (under M) in the Content Library and delete any references to the "MFD Expansion Pack 1 for Genesis 3 Females". If the product is not there, or blank, look in the Lost and Found default category and try the same.
My installation has entries for "MFD Expansion Pack 1 for Genesis 3 Females" in Products and Lost and Found in Default Categories, but no files, probably due to the lack of metadata. (I did manage to categorize without any problems, though). The files turned up in product LOCAL USER, which is a catchall for elements with no metadata. That's a big category, so maybe you should search for individual files (there are only 10 items) and delete them one at a time, if there are any still hanging on.
This should clear the database of any references to the supposedly uninstalled product. Then try installing again. Maybe if you add the metadata (using Exp2 as a guide) it might cooperate a bit more.
@Northof45 I have tried all your suggestions and I cannot categorize the G3 exp1 folder, I can load each piece from the content library. I have done every other folder for G2, G3 and G8 I am at a loss as to why this one will not work. Now since I have uninstalled and reinstalled it doesn't even show as being installed in Smart content yet I can see the folder and contents in Content library... Thanks for your help tho I appreciate it
It is strange that the metadata doesn't work. It is in the product file, and looks valid, but just doesn't seem to apply. It has the right product number, the right GUID, the right product name, the formatting looks good, but...
Maybe I should try all that myself. Thing is, I can categorize it, so I don't want to mess it up. I'll try on another computer to see what it does.
Okay, followed my own steps on an old installation that still had G3 MFD Exp 1. Uninstalled, deleted remnants in Products, Lost and Found, and any references found in database search. When I reinstalled, it did not show in Products or Lost and Found, did not show in the database search, but did show in the file system search. However, I was still able to categorize the folder with everything in it, from the Library. Like before, it had none of the metadata that is supposed to be associated with it, so something is not working properly.
Maybe I will have to submit a ticket, there is definitely something wrong. Thanks for checking it yourself , I still can't categorize it and have tried several ways. I wanted to categorize it all because there are so many materials for it but I just was tyring to use them on G8 and the new iconic MFD set and the materials don't apply properly to the dress so maybe I will give up on it completely
