25% Scaling?

I have some terrains that I want bigger in order to create an expanse around default size Genesis 3/8 figures, but the terrain textures look like they have already been stretched past their limit BEFORE I increase their scaling.
QUESTION: Are there any known drawbacks to scaling figures and props down to 25%?

Displacement, transmitted distance, and sss distance are absolute, so if you scale figures and want everything to look right, you need to scale these values, too.
But also this won’t fix the problem you are describing; if the textures don’t look good scaled up, they won’t look good if you scale everything other than terrain down.

@Oso3D: Thanks, Will! I was going to scale the terrains down to 75%. That's why I was scaling everything else down to 25%. Good to know about the displacement, transmitted distance, and SSS. Hopefully, I can keep it all straight. Oh, and thanks for your mammoth free shaders and fur for my Daz Dog 8!
