My Morphs png images won't stay.

So I have custom morphs for Genesis 8 they are in place but every time I reload

DS the images for my morphs do not show, and for one morph it has a question mark for the name the label shows the name but all of a sudden the name shows a question mark. So I go to paramters for the morph and change the name to its name load the image for the body, but after saving it nothing is there and the image is still there as well as the  morph .

How can I save the morph with the image png card so that it stays. I am trying to create a character for my store.

My head morphs won't move from Actor category either.  The Bodymorph  didn't do this before was working fine , still works but I have a question mark on the name and question mark where I load the card png.

  • So are you selecting a new path by clicking to get a drop-down list, or are you typing? Have you tried changing the type from Modifier/Shape (if appropriate)?

No I haven't changed the modifier shape, this is a custom morph does not use any daz morphs

I deleted the morphs in daz connect that were there that I didn't put there, and now it loads my original I have in mylibrary , daz3d, genesis 8 ,/Genesis female / morphs / my morphs/ ArgRose/my girl body. but still won't stay in the categories. Where do the files get placed where are the categories in daz?

Its called Property Group not Categories those are used in the Content Library to organise the content. Its just that the name is allready in use for something else in DazStudio.

Four options to edit the Property Group of a morph property:

    1. just drag and drop them to another existing Property Group with Parameters pane in Edit-Mode
    2. right-click the morph slider(s) (multible selections possible) Set > Property Group
    3. open the Parameter Settings of the morph slider with the gear icon and type in a new Property Group path or choose an existing from the list
    4. open the uncompressed "morphname.duf" file from the "data" folder in a text editor and "hack" the Property Group path there

First hint if you uncheck Consolidate Properties from the Parameters pane option menu the question mark on the morph disappears and you can see which one is the wrong / older morph of both sharing the same Label.

Second hint the Delete Selected Property dosn't delete the file from disk and it gets showen again if you reload the scene. Search the data folder with the system file browser in windows aka explorer for the morph name you gave them and delete those files if you want to get rid of the wrong morphs you saved before. Be carefull with that maybe sort by modification date to get the one you want to delete.

That's what I meant property group. I tried the first two. And that worked but went back to the same group again the morph loader or actor. I deleted the selected property as well, and the bad one showed up again.

To have the morphs with all the slider settings finaly saved into the library you need to use File > Save As > Support Asset > Morph Asset. Before that they just got saved with the current scene file you are working on, and it seems something went wrong there. Once the Morph Asset is saved that way I suggest you to open a new scene load the figure / character. Now the morph should show up hopefully in the right property group and you get rid of the other conflicting morph with this, if this bad one never got saved as Morph Asset.

I have used that for every morph , and it would be there , but when I opened  ds again it was back to the same place. So I did what you said number 4 and edited the file. Everything was working but I found still a second body. I did what you said about searching and finally found the second morph. Hopefully now everything will work. I did edit the path too, and made sure all the duplicates were removed. Thanks for your help.
