Keep windows from restarting????

How do I keep Windows 10 from restarting overnight? I woke up this morning to the fact my computer got restarted. Unless I restarted it in my sleepy state, how do I prevent this?

Sounds like you got an update. If that's that's the case, you can go into Start>Settings, find Updates and Security, find restart options and turn it off. You can also select times, but it sounds like you don't want that. Here at work, I have limited options for restarting, but I will check again at home and get back to you if someone else doesn't first.

From Lifehacker:
Windows 10 automatically downloads and installs updates without notifying the user. If you’d like a little more control, head to the advanced Windows Update settings, where you’ll be able to schedule when automatic updates will restart your computer.
In the Settings app, go to Update & Security > Windows Update and then click the Advanced options button. In the drop-down box, switch the setting to “Notify to schedule restart.”
There was a lot of grief over the last Windows update deleting user files, specifically photos and such, to stop automatic updates:
Solution 1. Disable Windows Update Service
Understand the limitations of this method. While disabling the automatic update service will temporarily halt any Windows 10 cumulative updates, the service will re-enable itself after a certain amount of time. Here are the directions:
1. Press the Windows logo key + R at the same time to invoke the Run box.
2. Type services.msc and press Enter.
3. Scroll down to Windows Update, and double-click it.
4. In Startup type, select Disabled. Then click Apply and OK to save the settings.
