Can get no fur on Wolf 2.0 by AM

I purchased Wolf 2.0 for I need that desparately for a Book Cover. Now this wolf doesnt have any fur.
So I read the description/guide and it says I should have ONE of the following Plugins: Look at my hair (which is additionally 50 $) or LAMH Player for free. So I loaded the free plugin and installed it.
But then I also would need the catalyzer (another 13 $) so I purchased this, as well. But now I need a PRESET for the fur!
Then I clicked at the LAMH Pane on "Get more hair" and landed on furrythings.com, where I loaded Wolf2.0AMfur. Tried to attach this but now it always says "no valid figure selected".

So do I just misunderstand something? Is there a way to get this fur visible in the render without buying expensive plugins?

I presume from your question that you are doing an Iray render.

If you are using Smart Content then you should be loading the wolf with the Catalyzer hair already attached - that means going to Figures - Animals - Land and clicking the "Actor" named "Wolf 2 - Black Catalyzer" or "Wolf 2 - Grey Brown Catalyzer" or "Wolf 2 - Grey White..... (you get the picture) This should load the wolf with hair of the selected colour ready to render via the "Render" button in the Catalyzer window. Don't use the normal "Render" button - it won't invoke the Catalyzer and you won't get the hair to render correctly.

If you are using Content Library, the wolf figures (same names above) should be in Animals/AM/Wolf 2/Iray Figures. Rendering is the same as mentioned above.

  • Thank you Melanie! But I can't find the catalyzer window. Its not under Panes and elsewhere... I installed via Installer.
