Missing Content Library

I clicked on a thumbnail (dragged it a little) in the content library and all my content disappeared. All that is left is what you see in the attached jpeg. I tried the datatbase maintenance procedures and tired reinstalling the program, but it didn't help.

I just discovered that my content is in the smart content tab. Still don't understand why it disappeared from the content library tab

There is a little arrow below your screenshot to close that menu. Only things with metadata are automatically in Smart Content, not everything.

The folder list is collapsed. Either half way aliong the top edge or half way down the left edge there's a little bat - click that to expand the folder list again.
