HDRI is oddly pixelated

I am using: https://www.daz3d.com/skies-of-iradiance-high-sky-hdri-bundle-for-iray and my HDRI shows up with big pixels. Have tried several settings but so far I'm unable to get a clear sky. What could cause this?

I am at my wits end :( It seems every HDRI is giving the same result, I tried several different ones from several vendors. I also tried openig the scene in the latest beta version and the result is the same. This has been keeping my project on hold for a week now. I never had this problem before. Could it be a problem with my GPU?
This may be a stupid question, but are you sure you're not loading the thumbnails of the HDRIs instead of the HQ versions?
Try clicking on the DEFAULTS button on the Iray Engine Render Tab, then load one of the presets. Here I did that and loaded the highlighted Sunny A preset of the Skies of iRadiance - Sunny Sky HDRIs for Iray product. The iray preview shown, showed up within seconds.
I checked the textures and they are either the 4K or the 8K ones :)
@Lindsey, I tried that and still the same output. It's quite a memory intensive scene and I am thinking that it's somehow corrupted. I'm going to save out pieces in scene subsets and reload them, hoping to avoid an entire rebuild this way. Rendering with a transparent (PNG) background and adding it with postwork is not an option as the background is a huge part of the scene.
