How to move My DAZ3d Library folder to different hard drive.

Hello evertone I hope I'm not asking a repeat question but trying to simply copy My DAZ3D Library to an extrenal drive for backup before installing new hard drive. In the past I use to be able to simply copy and paste the whole folder but now it will not let me do this. Is there a way to copy all my already installed content to external drive so it can be moved to new drive.

Well, if I were you (just in case) I will copy and paste all files located in MyDocuments>Daz3d to a pen drive, for example... >>>> Only in cases that you have external files like .obj or pirate content (sad but true). But, if you bought all the files using your account, there is no worries at all. The content will appear to download when you install and login into your account. But, to be honest, you should backup the entire Daz3d content in MyDocuments, and then try to open your files normally.
Also, there is an another option to "change the personal content library" to another place. If you click to the right button in "My Daz Library (or something like that)" you will see an option to change the path of the external library.
Are you wanting to use the content there or simply to back it up? Are you also backing up the database, or at least your user data?
I am preparing to update from 4.10 to 4.11. What is the best way to back up everything first?
Thank you.
4.11 is only a beta at present, and if you are already on 4.10 then the slightly risky step (the changed database tables) is already out of the way. You can back up the database by copying the Content Cluster folder (set in Edit>Preferences>CMS Settings tab) while DS and DIM are closed.
Thank you Richard. Your help is always appreciated.
