Japanese Courtyard, memory issue?

Hi,

So, I've picked up the beautiful looking Japanese Courtyard by NyanCat, and while it appears great from the icons and promos in my library, I havn't been able to actually use it!

I am wondering if maybe there are a number of others with fairly decent rigs that still have issues even loading this as I do. (I'm running Win10 x64, Ryzen7 1800x 3.6 ghz cpu, x2 Nvidia GTX 1080ti, and storage is on a samsung 850 evo array of ssd)

I've managed to get daz to load this twice out of at least 15 attempts, and those two times as soon as I attempted to pan the camera Daz locks up.  Is this asset extremely resource heavy? I can't imagine why it would be so bad as to crash me reliably. Stonemason's urban future is running off of my HDD external drive and doesnt bog down like this even with 3 subdivided figures and props.

I've tried reinstalling the content, in the off chance it was corrupted. I've done so across more than one drive. No luck.

Any hints are greatly appreciated, as I really would like to use this asset.

  • not many going to be able to help you as very few have it, it was pulled from the store the same day it was released along with their other stuff surprise

Thank you Wendy that explains things. I am sure it was pulled for this very reason. It's too bad they did not include an OBJ file or I would attempt to break it down to usable parts.

you can sort of do that with the geometry editor tool

rightclick select by groups, surfaces etc and hide parts, edit delete hidden save as a new support asset with a new name etc (don't overwrite the original)

if too heavy load and work in bounding box mode
