DForce issues with Hair

I still continue to have crashing issues with DForce on my mac system. I Added a Dforce modifier to a hair model and the Daz crashes as soon as the list of edge springs registry completes and the simulation starts. this is with just the haor visible and self collisions off. The log is not helpful as to why the crash, is there any way to debug this futher?

Thanks

  • Not all hair (or clothing) will work with dForce. Of course it shouldn't crash, but give an error and stop, so it may be worth reporting - however, I would not expect the hair to be fixed to work with dForce (assuming, of course, that it is not marked as dForce compatible).

    Pardon?

Didn't know that up to now any hair product was certified to work with dForce.
All my hair related requests got refused.

there are several excellent hairs that have been designed to work with dForce

    • Nyo Hair
    • Laura Hair by Lady LittleFox
    • Kinley Hair by Lady LittleFox
    • Aguja Mermaid Hair by Arki & shoxdesign
    • Bang Bob Hair by Linday
    • Classic Long Hair by Linday

That being said, I highly recommend that you dForce hair with clothes turned off.  Just Iike I turn off hair when I dForce the clothes.
Minimizing the collisions helps achieve sucessful simulations!!

  • There are two or three hair sets that use dForce, check Linday's store for example.
