Export .obj Settings from Hex to Daz

I am currently working on a morph and I am having issues with scaling when exporting to an.obj file from hexagon.

I use daz option to send to hexagon with base resolution and smoothing turned off.

I finished editing in Hex and wanted to export as a .obj file so that I can use the option in morph loader to reverse deformations so that only the changes I made would take effect.  The settings in Daz and in Hex are the same 1unit=1cm and scale is set to 100% but when I import the morph and apply it, the object gets super tiny.  I have mucked around with settings to see if there was a way to compensate and so far nothing has worked.

I know I can export from Daz as .obj and import that in to Hex and edit and export, but am afriad of doing all the work a second time just to have the same issue when using morph loader to import the changes.

Any hints or advice would be great. I am fairly new to using Hex.

  • If you go to Edit>Preferences (Daz Studio>Preferences on a Mac) then to the Bridges tab (you will have to scroll right to see it) you should be able to enable the options dialogue for the hexagon bridge, which will I think give access to the Reverse Deformations checkbox. I would, however, expect the Hexagon preset in the importer dialogue to work so I'm not sure what is going on there.

  • Thank you for the info, I wasn't aware you could activate the advanced options for the bridge.  Works like a charm now.

The bridge works fine it was exporting from Hex as object file and the using morph loader pro to apply the morph with the reverse deformations option.  Now that advanced options are active for Hex bridge I can skip doing this all together.
