Unable to see figures/objects

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

When I opened Daz the other day, I wasn't able to see any figures or objects I loaded.  All I can see are the boxes around the nodes.  I have checked every setting I can think of, but no luck.  Scenes render normally, but I can't see what Im working with.  I really dont want to have to uninstall Daz, then reinstall everything, but if nobody has a fix, I think I'll have to.

    You are probably using Bounding box mode in the Viewport. You can click the sphere icon at top-right, next to the camera/view picker button, and select a diffrent node, or press ctrl+9 (cmd+9 for the Mac) to select Texture Shaded mode (cmd/ctrl + a number seelcts to the matching view mode, which may well be how you ended up with bounding box mode to strt with).

    That's exactly what my problem was.  Don't know how I overlooked that.  Thanks for the help!

    Note that this wouldn't have worked. The program settings are saved separately from the program files, content files and content database files, so that they are normally preserved through an uninstall/reinstall. This is done deliberately, so that you don't need to reload or rebuild your settings every time you update the program for a new version.
