"Daz Model Not Found" error.

As soon as I drop a picture into the dialog box, I get a popup with this message.

Does this have something to do with my daz library not stored in the same drive as my daz app folder?

  • Could be. Try to load model from DAZConnect. You may also save the model a a scene and load it as such. Both should overcome the problem.

  • Neither DazConnect loaded G3F nor a saved/reloaded scene fixed this issue.

  • The different drives thing isn't the problem. I can make this work fine on my laptop, which uses a different drive for library than application folder, but not on my main workstation. I would be happy if this would work on my main workstation since the laptop isn't ideal for daz.

Please see this post for a discussion of this error, and a possible resolution.

This error can be caused if the Temp Folder and DSON Cache folder have been changed from their defaults. Resetting those to their defaults resovled this error for me.

Since plugins should respect those standard Daz settings, hopefully Abalone will look into a software update to address this problem.

However, I've also seen this problem in other situations, and I don't understand the reason for many of those.
