Stretched surfaces maps are my problem

Am I the only one that has this problem?? I can't seem to find anybody else complaining about this issu. You know, when you play with the shaping of a figure ; lets say you want your G3F model to have really large knees (yes knees why not heh?) so you somehow enlarge the knees in a way you like, but then of course the texture map and every others get stretched. After render you can see all the enlarged skin pores and thats a problem for me.
Now, I know I'd have to play with the UV maps or ... I actually don't really know how to get through this.. Can you imagine a solution? I'm not that much of a computer and software freak, but more of an artist..
I want my big realistic knees (lol)

You would rally need a new map (not necessarily new UVs, as long as the detail was compressed to comepnsate -though there would be a limit to how far that would go) or a procedural skn texture that went by actual size rather than the UV map.
