Daz3D install problems

Daz3D is amzaing software, but its installation is horrible.

I have installed Daz3D on a half dozens computers and always have problems. Normally after installation none of the content works, it all shows as broken links in daz (screen shot).

My main issue is that Daz defaults to installing everything on c: which is not usable on any modern computer that has a 100gb ssd and 2tb hd on d:

So I installed, everything went to c:, so I uninstalled everything, then delete every Daz directory everywhere, then tried to reinstalled switching the install manager paths to d: before installing.

Daz3D gets installed on d: as does the content, but when I open Daz, all of the content links are broken.

How to fixed this??? I have reinstalled a dozen times, everything  is always broken.

Besides switching Install Manager, did you switch the Content Manager in Daz Studio, and remap the Poser Runtimes and Content Folders?  The install Manager just tells Daz studio where to install; Content Manager tell Daz Studio where all the folders are.

You can also use http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/file_io/install_manager_config_import/start - just download, from the link above the script, and drag into the DS Viewport.

Note that if you tell Windows to use the D: (or other) drive for your Documents before installing DS it will use that location for its content diectory and for Connect - but not the DIM Installs as those go to the Public Documents folder.
