2 Face Groups are combined to be 1 Surfaces Group. How to split into 2 Surfaces Groups?

2 Face Groups are combined to be 1 Surfaces Group. How to split into 2 Surfaces Groups?

Example:

lEye

rEye

are combined into

Iris

Sclera

Pupil

Is there any way to take advantage of the lEye & rEye Face Groups and split the Iris, Sclera, & Pupil Surfaces Groups into lIris, rIris, lSclera, rSclera, lPupil, rPupil Surfaces Groups for each eye?

Thanks.

    Sure:

    1. Switch to the Geometry Editor tool and open the Tool Settings pane
    2. Make sure the figure is selected
    3. In the Tool Settings pane, which will now be showing a list of the polygon groups on the model, click the + next to an eye surface to select the whole surface
    4. In the Tool Setting pane click the - next to one of the eye groups to deslect that half of the surface
    5. Right-click in the Viewport>Geometry Assignment>Create Surface From Selected, name it as required to relfect side
    6. You coudl now, in the Tool Settings pane, rename the remaining part of the original surface in the usual way (select, then click the name to rename) but I would leave it alone so that Materials presets will still affect it (then you can copy the settings over to the other eye).
    7. Right-click in the Viewport>Geometry Selection>Clear Selection

Repeat for the other eye surfaces.
