Fireflies everywhere for no reason?

Hi!
Yesterday the software was working properly. But something happened with the render engine today and all the images look like this:
What I've tried to fix:
1. reboot computer (no results)
2. change render settings to CPU/GPU (no results)
3. turn off/on the fireflies filter (no results)
4. change hdri and illumination options (no results)
I did not make any modifications on my computer from yesterday to today. Yesterday the renders were working properly. Even using the same scenes saved yesterday, I still have this problem.
EDIT: I'm trying rendering a model without any prop. Normally the render would take 2-3 minutes on my PC, but after 8 minutes it had not gone 0%.

Have you tried clicking the Defaults button in Render Settings?
Yes. But the problem persists.
Since I have not made any changes, I believe it is some flaw in the software or the hardware.
To test the hardware, I only rendered with the CPU and only with the GPU, and both presented this same problem (which as I said before, it did not happen yesterday). So maybe hardware is not the problem here.
It is actually using the GPU?
Yes.
But when I select "CPU" in the "advanced" area of Render Settings, the same problem occurs. The only difference is that it takes longer to render. But these same artifacts appear.
If you look at the log (Help>Troubleshooting>View Log File) just after rendering what dose it indicate led it to stop - for example
Iray INFO - module:category(IRAY:RENDER): 1.0 IRAY rend info : Convergence threshold reached.
would indicate that it reached the convergence threshold.
The renders never end. After reaching 50-60%, there is no more progress and it continues doing iterations until the time runs out.
At this point, the image is full of fireflies, artifacts, I do not know exactly the name of it.
Previously the convergence limit was reached in about 2 minutes for simple images. Now it is never reached and if I do not put time or iterations limits, the render never ends.
EDIT: after reinstall the program, nothing changes.
FINAL EDIT:
I do not know what happened, but apparently the program is working right now. What I noticed:
1. by setting the "view display" to Iray, it gets full of artifacts and fireflies (which did not happen before)
2. the renders never ended
3. I changed user in Windows 10 and noticed that the "view display" for iray is working properly
4. I made a render on this other user and it worked
5. I returned to my default user and the "view display" is still full of artifacts and fireflies
6. I made a new render and ... it worked!
I have no idea what happened, maybe some corrupted file on this other user, or maybe my hardware is dying. Anyway, I will continue to test to see if the problem has really been solved.
