M5 poses: creations and feedback

As not to hijack Ain3D's thread, I opened up this one :)
I read that there is some interest in male poses and as a mostly male figure user myself, I have to agree that the options for male poses are somewhat limited.
I've seen on other (freebie)sites and on DAZ there is some content towards M4, but somehow M5 (or genesis for that matter) is hugely under-represented.
I'd love to hear what poses people are looking for and I'd be happy to give it a go ^^
Since I am rather new doing this "en public" and even though I enjoy posing my figures, there is still lots to learn, so I am hoping for some feedback as well!

So let me know if there are some poses you would love to have in your runtime and I'll see if I am up to the challenge!
Here is my first pose as I read over at Ain3D's thread someone requested a phone pose (or more precisely, a "looking at smartphone" pose XD)
There is a link towards ShareCG that brings you to my page.

I am fairly new to this, so let me know if the pose I posted is working for you.
Here I proudly present my very first freebie:

Well, you mentioned that there's a limitation to Male poses like that surprises you. Of course, it's MALE, NO one wants to do market something like that (and then wonder why they don't sell).

But funny you do bring up this topic, however, as I was JUST looking through some of my wishlisted poses over at Rendo. Among them are a number of ballet/pas de deux sets for Gen 4 and it made me realize: "Hmm, there isn't really any ballet dance poses for either V5 or M5". So why not? Make my (and my dancer friend's) day. :)

I AM surprised because in my world (I admit it's a weird place to dwell) the male body is inspiring.
But hey, I also love to eat cold soup and sing ballads to my cats, so that may be some indication of my state of mind ;)
Ballet poses, that IS quite the challenge, but one I am willing to take.
A shame that it's getting quite late here, so it will have to wait until tomorrow~stay tuned!

Good work! I love that pose, and would buy poses such as that, especially if they had a prop that would work well with it.

Everyday male poses would be awesome and a must buy for me. I do seem to have a lot of 'modeling' poses, and I confess I rarely use those even though I do buy em when they come up.

I like to tell stories, so men interacting would be nice.

What I would find invaluable would be some casual and conversational poses. Most pose are dramatic, I'm the center of the picture poses. And some "bumbling" poses would be nice, I'd buy those. where he drops the sword or the vase.

This one was giving me sweaty palms, because I know little about ballet.
I do know that in order to keep your balance when standing on one foot, the toes should be under the head in a straight line.
Feedback is welcome, especially on a pose like this :D

For those who are interested, it can be downloaded for free at ShareCG:

The phone pose has been downloaded over 70 times already!
Thanks everyone, this is really motivating!
For this week I'm planning a bundle of poses and these will be included:

    - more dancing/ballet poses
    - conversation poses
    - another phone pose where he is holding a phone to his ear

More ideas are welcome of course!

    Wow! Not bad! :-)

The only thing about it that disappoints me is that this is the only one at the moment. Though, I did see in the ShareCG description that you plan on making more, so that has me looking forward. I understand and agree that dancing poses aren't completely easy to do, but I hope to eventually see a few pas de deux poses between GM/M5 & GF/V5.

But trust me, you think YOUR world's bizarre? You should read half my character and story ideas! :)

LOL, while i find both sexes inspiring, in my world i used to work in high end mens clubs and spend too much time around people (women) in adult entertainment, so my preference is going to be swimsuit models with implants, But i can always use male poses and these look great, keep it up and thanks for sharing!

hmm, tempting, especially for David5. Admittedly, I don't have much for either G2M or G1M (as far as any kind of content). And the realistic Dance poses (not cable-stunts) is very eagerly awaited, especially if they can be zoned a bit (upper vs lower body even).

Unfortunately, some things, like a Valdez, or Front aerial, conforming cloths just cant do.

So rather simple Ballet is probably much safer. As for the finer details, stand in front of a mirror, and attempt the pose yourself (Not the Acro ones :shut: ). Or look at pics of real people doing the actual dance.

    http://www.pbt.org/community-engagement/basic-ballet-positions
    etc...

how about both the phone poses, simply standing as well as sitting? And how difficult is it to convert G1M poses to G2M poses?
