    wow im dumb, I only just realised we can paint and export maps from inside SBH editor.  So we can make our opacity or even colour maps etc in SBH Editor.

    edit: actually, even dumber than i thought because the opacity channel doesnt work like the root and tip channels.  Opacity maps can just be made with a vertical black/white gradient.

    it's a very lowrez paint app,

    I did suggest earlier on they could use the existing code to give us a decent one.

    was not obviously considered a priority.

    don't think SBH is that popular since the dynamics PA only, most probably figure they will just buy one if they want it

    i was meaning just for hair colour maps.

    But yes they could extend it more generally!
