Need advice for handling hair underwater

Hi guys.
I really like the mermaid product line sickleyield has put together, but I hesitant to purchase because when I see underwater renders the hair on the models defy gravity. The hair does not scatter and toss about while underwater. Everything else looks underwater except the hair being static as if not in under water and it cheats the scene of authenticity.

What are Daz Studio artists, who are using the mermaid product line doing to overcome this issue so that hair flows freely and tosses about while being underwater?

I appreciate your feedback on the issue.

You could read through this thread:

If you are talking about animations - go with Mairy/3Dream hairs, they have a lot of morphs.

I second the advice - pretty much any Mairy hair has floating morphs (and lots more). They are the best bang for your buck (with Smay's and Mindvision GDS's!). SAV released Zero Gravity Hair too, it looks nice. Upside Down Hair is nice, but you may want to make your own textures. Oh, some AprilYSH's hairdos have dynamic presets, Thian Hair does.

Well, I haven't seen the pictures you refer to since you didn't provide a link, but I've used Mitsu hair for this, it has some good wind morphs that can replicate under water.

Sylphiad Hair ( http://www.daz3d.com/sylphiad-hair ) worked quite well for the render below. (morphs are in the neck.)

Alternately, you could experiment with Dformers (if you use DAZ Studio), perhaps that could create the effect you want for other hair.

Hair by Alfa Seed over at rdna usually has float morphs as well.

Sav has just released a hair called zero gravity that may work for you over at rendo.

If your system can handle it and you are not rendering via an outside renderer like Luxus or Reality, Garibaldi Hair works well for underwater. I don't have LAMH, but I'm sure that's also a viable option.

This hair has certain morphs that can work well for underwater scenes http://www.daz3d.com/esidor-hair

As I ended up buying it myself I thought I'd post a couple of renders. There is a gen2 fit and also DS materials. There is a huge amount of style presets over 50...
First is the crispy texture default

Second is the smooth texture default

    third style 1

    fourth style 2

    fifth style 62

I use Mairy's hair a LOT in my Renders, their are floating options in most of them PLUS they do render fast and look GREAT.

Swam and goldtassel also have Naoko Hair, on sale here http://www.daz3d.com/naoko-fantasy-action-hair . The promos show it used in mermaid renders and, as a bonus, it's 40% off right now.
