Uninstalling and reinstalling Stuio won't fix your problem with content.  You will need to delete your entire Genesis 8 folder and start fresh.  Use DIM to install DAZ products, for products from other sites create separate libraries for each site.  Be sure to save any morph assets you create to your personal library.  Having multiple libraries makes it easier to narrow down where a problem is coming from by just temporarily removing a library from Content Directory Manager.
