Hole's Second Coming

xyer0xyer0 Posts: 6,058

After an absence of four years, Hole returns with an exquisitely luxuriant environment: Onyx Bed and Bath. Anyone who was fortunate enough to purchase Suite 2101 (before it was removed from the store) knows the level of detail, functionality, and beauty that Hole puts into each product. Welcome back, and thank you for the great-looking new room(s) and props.

    Looks really impressive.

  • I would like someone to build that in my house (need house) in real life. Though the make up area is tiny. Still, quite a beautiful and detailed set.

Perhaps those of you who can afford it will buy Onyx Bed and Bath to encourage Hole not to wait another four years. Suite 2101 included separate prop light switches, electrical outlets, and a toilet which had a rigged seat and cover.

The price is ridiculously cheap, too. I own both other Hole products in the store. Both are very well done.

Look at the various stages (7 each) of filling the tub or sink:

Poses and (gasp!) wind nodes for the dryer:
Plus, cameras and full rigging on everything.

Wow... that's an incredibly impressive set.  The toilet looks a llittle odd... it's got that same weird thing going on that Tesla3D's sets have where the toilet only has a lid and no seperate seat... but other than that, the details are amazing.  The latch bolt on the wardrobe even works properly,I can't remember ever seeing that before.  Thanks for starting this thread, as I would have assumed that this was just yet another DAZ bathroom set and skipped right past it.

Fantastic! Too bad Suite 2101 is gone.

The high-end designer toilet DOES HAVE a separate seat: Look in the middle image of my previous post. On the right, you can see that the lid is up. And look at this leftmost overhead image, you can also see that the lid is up. Now, does the toilet have a water volume geometry in it? Can't tell.

It's impressive as heck, and was an instant buy.

If it was so good, why can't be brought back?  PA objection?  National security?  Something even more sinister?

Here's a better shot of the separate toilet lid and seat from the main promo (at the bottom):

Hmm.  Apparently the lid covers the seat entirely when it's down. Kinda strange, but much better.  Not that that was going to stop me from buying this in any case.  :)

It's great when you can look at a set like this and keep discovering nifty details, and this set is incredibly detailed.  Makes one hope that more rooms are forthcoming.

The rim of that seat looks a bit narrow, though.  It's definitely not intended for extended reading.

Hugely impressive set. I have Suite 2101 and have used it quite a lot but only when I have a lot of time to wait for renders. I suspect this one will be similar - all that detail must come at a cost in render times. I can't say that I'm keen on the fiery marble in the bathroom - I might tone that down a little if I purchase this set, but geez what attention to detail. You just have to admire it.

The decor isn't really to my taste, but I've gotta say, the attention to detail like the light switches, outlets and even power cords is exceptional. I really, really like that :). I'll keep my eye on them when/if they do something a little less modern or more traditional :). Great work.

  • The details are good but the black orange neon color scheme is not to my particular taste. There is also a female quality to the environment which I don’t really want

How about the classic, "The PA, who owns all the rights, decided not to sell it anymore"? Unfortunate, but hopefully Hole sees this and decides to.offer an update.

Is it the toilet seat being down?  Also feminine*.  Sorry, pet peeve.

That would fall under "PA objection"?

That's going to vary too much depending on what camera angles, figures you've added, etc.

I guess this is the third coming?  Not the most prolific PA, but boy is this another nice set.

Yup. In my cart awaiting a sale that requires the purchase of a new item to trigger more discounts.

I really like the attention to detail, something that's lacking in many products. Props added you would find an any bathroom or bedroom, another thing that's usually missing from products. Far as I'm concerned, this is a done deal. If the colors don't work in my scene, then I change them, really easy to do, if the props add too much of a feminine flare, I remove them, another thing that's easy to do, so why would anyone would complain about colors or props that are easy to change or remove is beyond me.

Great job Hole and hope to see more from you.
