HS dForce Breast

Has anyone tried this? It looks like the solution to a bunch of different threads over the past few months. From the description: "It can collide with the object / character itself, shake with the character's movement, while keeping everything is natural transition."
I may give it a shot. If it works well, I'm hoping the maker will create a version for belly/glutes as well.

a be;;y one could make george into santa claus
glute ones would be fun fror the males.
i'm wondering how it responds to morphs.
and gravity in poses besides simple upright poses. the promos (and the video, as nearly as i can tell from skimming) all show the figure in upright poses.
For some reason the video shows as "unavailable" to me.
I'm interested... But can this be applied to an existing character?
It's the same video as the one that's on the Keicy page.
you know this is what I thought we'd get with genesis 9 as well as daz studio 5 so this creator has beaten daz to it
I'd like to know if the product is an actual add-on or if it's just a pre-built dForce weight map? I play around with dForce quite a bit and I've been tempted to try and simulate soft-body physics with it...theoretically you should be able to do just that with any body part and a proper weight map and surface settings.
Same question here, as well as how much of what's going on here is a result of the clothing and how much is the breast dForce effect itself? Do we get the same effect with clothing that doesn't actually function as cup, like most shirts and dresses? Not to mention what effects are there on the nipple/areola placement and shapes, if any? This is where the Prude-O-Vision image restrictions on the DAZ store and forums become really annoying, as there's literally no way to properly showcase what the full effects of the product are without being deleted from the forums.
That said, easy instant purchase and an extra special set of thanks and bravos to Hamster for covering Genesis 2F, 3F and 8F with a single product. :)
Now... will there be a glutes followup coming soon as well?
Agree with all of that. I too would like to see these questions answered. I'm not sure that I am keen on buying a breast only feature. I would have hoped for belly and glutes too. Still, it is step in the right direction and maybe DAZ will notice the demand at last.
I've bought it and as soon as my back heals and I can sit up again, I'll test it as much as I can to answer questions if nobody else shows up to do so.
Also unavailable to me. Anyone else having that problem?
yeah...
it's unclear whether or not there's any actual weighting of the breasts involved.
this is the kind of thing that i reckon linday could pull off really well. linday's dforce hair models based on dforce cloth simulations do a wonderful job of simulating gravity with complex layer weighting, and i think that's what you'd need to really fake soft body physics with dforce.
i'm hoping that's what HS has delivered here. but i'm going to wait and see what folks who've had a chance to experiment with the product have to say.
I bought the product. Its great. There's two ways of setting it up.
Basic Setup: Hamster includes a new base genesis 8 female. You dial in the character. Add the breast attachments. Pose the character and run the sim. You can check on the gallery. I put up two demo images using Lyoness' new model Karsyn. Its good test on Karsyn, because the model has larger breasts but are also droopy breasts as opposed firm breats. So it gives dForce more to move to so to speak.
Advanced Setup: This is where I'm having trouble. I'm trying with adding a weight map. For example, I load Victoria 8 (non HD). I add a dynamic dforce to her. I add the dForce weight map node. But going to tools settings, the Add Map button is greyed out. I can't add map.
Assuming I could add a map then I'd add Hamster's Base G8F model to the scen and copy and paste the weight maps from Hamsters G8F to Victoria's 8 Weight Map Node. Then add breast attachment to Victoria 8. Lastly add any modifers, pose Victoria and run the sim.
Hamster includes documentation on how to use it.
In my opinion, this product could replace all the squish and breast control dial ins. Its that good of product. If I could only figure out why I can't add a weight map, I could make greater progress. Anyone could help me with that I'd appreciate it.
Wow, there is a user manual, you have to dig to find it though. Its placed in a folder called of all things "Usermanual" whereas most merchants place it in the general folder with their name or sometimes in the documentation.
Jaxprog, you have to create a dForce weight brush. I can’t remember if that’s under the create menu or object/figure geometry, but I’ll be back at my computer shortly to double-check.
Okay, i figured it out. Its a Daz Studio UI glitch. I added weight modifier and the Tool Setting UI doesn't change state until you click on a different tab.
For example: Let's say you are the Content Library Tab, you add the dforce Weight Modifier. You load up the Tool Settings but the Add Map button is greyed out.
To force the UI state to change, click on a different Tab like Viewport and magically the Tool Settings comes alive. You can click on the Add Map button.
This is minor glitch in UI State. There should be an event notification (like publisher - subcriber pattern) where once the dForce Weight Modifier is added the tool settings UI is notified and the Add Map button is enabled.
Easy work around until its fixed.
sounds cool, jaxprog...promising.
thanks for posting. your notes and the UI glitch workaround.

Well, got the character Keicy from the same vendor with did have a similar dforce add-on. With this product, studio always freezes. Don't get this thing to work at all at the moment.
More Updates:
I'm having a challenge using the advance method of Hamster's dForce Breasts. The model's geometry explodes during simulation, just like clothing did when dForce was first release and over time it improved.
The basic method is flawless. Use Hamster's basic G8F and dial in your model or double click duf shape preset. Apply model materials and you basically get the model you want with Hamster's basic G8F.
I experiemented with various nude poses without clothing. I don't see any difference in movement applying Hard, Soft, Very Soft and etc material settings.
I experimented using Zev0 breast control with Hamster's simulation. I like the results. So, I guess don't discount the squish and breast control dial ins just yet.
I think you get some interesting results because the sim in my opinion doesn't conform enough with gravity. For example, Anagord on Renderosity has big breasted models and I have quite a few them. Posing them in way where movement would be obvious, the sim moves them but not by much. If however by making an educated guess on how gravity would pull on the breats using Zev0 breast control then run the sim, then the sim fills in the gaps giving a finished realistic look and feel.
I like the product. I'm pleased with its capability.
What would be interesting is a glute dForce to handle sitting or stretching the buttocks say sitting on the edge of a hard surface where one of the two glutes is taking the brunt of the weight. Another product for another time I suppose.
I recommend the product. For strictly nude images, no clothing on the chest, I'd suggest using a breast control product like Zev0's product in tandem with Hamster's product.
For clothing and swimsuits then probably more often than not just Hamster's product as a stand alone.
Exploding boobies. I'm dead, LOL.
Anyway, is this any different from the item that is included with the Keicy product?
I am also fascinated that this is a Daz Original. Maybe Daz will build this up into Genesis 9. It would be a logical thing to do.
Oh God exploding breasts
God I wish mine would
Would those be booby traps?

LOL You made me laugh AND /facepalm at the same time. :P
My work here is done ...
I'm really impressed with this product. Unfortunately I don't currently have any examples that are suitable to post within forum TOS, but I've long used Soto's Breast Utilities and Zev0's Breast Control (both excellent) and this saved me a huge amount of time/headaches trying to get the weight to look realistic, especially when interacting with other figures. It works really well with those morphs and poses. I did have to play around a bit with the soft and hard settings to avoid gaps or warping between the breast and whatever it's laying on, and there can be some weird folds with something like an arm pushing a breast to the side, so it doesn't entirely replace morphs for me. But I think especially if you do any nudes, pinups, or other work where the chest is a focus it'll help a lot.
A glute version would be amazing and I'd love to see one for both G8M and G8F (especially since G8M doesn't have the range of glute utility morphs available).
I've been testing it tonight and the additional dForce presets Hamster provides really make a significant difference from the base G8F figure that comes with the product. That being said, my limited dForce knowledge has lead to some.. um... odd collision-based side effects.
Well of course, they're T 'n T.
You can also find the user manual on the Readme page under Additional Details. A good read through if you're on the fence about buying it.

Easy enough to set up by following the pdf.
Once there, though, the bounce animation presets don't bounce. The breasts just cave in. Ugly. I tried all the add on settings, from Hard to Very Soft, same result. Tried the 30 fps and the 90 fps presets, same result. So, I have no idea what these animations are supposed to be doing, but they don't do anything like the animation on the promo page, so what are they supposed to do? Why are they included in the product?
Tried a static, to have the breasts settle onto a surface, but just got the dForce explosion thing over and over; never a successful simulation.
Sorry Hamster, your girls are great, but this product either doesn't work, or is more trouble than it's worth. If, in an hour of repeated attempts, I still can't get a satisfactory result, it's not worth wasting more time on. Going for the refund.
So rather than apply it to an existing character, you load a special Hamster-modified Genesis figure and recreate your character using that instead of the regular Genesis?
