Cyberpunk HDRI issues

Anybody else who bought Cyberpunk HDRI having troubles with files that can't be found when trying to load the HDRI's?
First I used DIM for installing - next I deleted the files, downloaded again and installed manually, but this error keeps coming up?

In the pack 1of 2 there is in no underscore in the Runtime-Textures folder name JDA HDRI. It should be JDA_HDRI as it is in pack 2of2. Find the one with no underscore and move the hdr files to the one that is correct.
Edit - Also in the pack 2of2 the JDA_HDRI folder is not in the Textures folder but directly in the Runtime folder so after moving the files to the JDA_HDRI folder move the JDA_HDRI folder into the Textures folder.
This should put all the files in the right place and stop the errors.
Attached is an image of the path and files as it should be
You should open up a ticket. The only way of getting their QA doing a reasonable job before release is raising tickets after release if the product is faulty. As long as customers do not complain and prefer to fix the issues by themselves, why should they invest in better QA? The only way to increase pressure on their QA is raising tickets.
I have a couple of products which do not work as expected. I raised tickets for those, and if I do not receive any feedback, I will ask for a refund.
Ticket was raised straight away but thought I'd post here so people can fix it in the meantime until Support can sort out an update.
Edit for splng
I'd say just return the product - raising a ticket doesn't mean that it will get fixed or that it will be updated before 30 days are up. Returning the product therefore losing custome is more likely to get them putting more resources into QA than just raising a ticket.
I would hope that, if a potential bug was reproted in the 30 day window, a refund would be available even if it was beyond the window before the issue was closed without resolution (if that happened).
I own all their sets.
I like this pas creations but they are prone to having directory issues which testing doesn't seem to catch.. For example the hdris are stored in 4 different directories each different.
I have an existing ticket out for the snowy winter set. It's been months no fix. Fortunately it is easy enough to fix problems with directory structure, so I don't need to wait for the support wing of DAZ store to mobilize, if it does.
If it is "months to fix" a simple issue like installing things in the wrong folders, then I think the only way to "speed" this up is returning the product. This issue is so simple, that it just MUST NOT happen at all.
Thanks for this! It was an easy fix after knowing where to look but I can’t believe this got past testing!
I like their hdri, so for me it is worth the 3 minutes to fix. However if I were a pa who paid money to DAZ store to do support, I'd be diappointed in the service.
I'm returning this product. I don't have time to go in and fix it myself.
It should work properly when it is released.
Weirdly after this thread I have begun to get inquiries from the marketing team about my months old tickets for these sets. I also have an update for one in my dim.
This is your choice, but it actually takes less time to correct it, than it does to fill out a ticket.
+1 Got that right IMO. You want my money then earn it, I'm not doing your job for you.
Like most things, it depends on how much you want it. I do like the HDRI, and its worth the 3 minutes it takes to correct it.
I agree, I did the same for another product. But, in the long run, we (as customers) are shooting ourselves in the foot. If we rather fix things ourselves, we run the risk that quality will deteriorate even further. I have no idea who is the culprit, the PA or DAZ, but I have seen pacakges on other platforms that can be installed without any hassle, and Content Wizard is doing a better job creating the Smart Content for those products than some packages on DAZ came with.
DAZ Store has been having trouble packaging of their content for years. I have suggested an editor review the packages and directories for years. This problem really isn't a new thing.
I don't see that changing because I return an item in the store. I do report badly made products when I have the time, which I do feel is most constructive than simply returning it. If DAZ does not respond or fix the item, thats their issue, but they can't claim to be uninformed, even if they ignore the requests.
But I won't be guilted about keeping an item I like, simply because if I don't return it things will get worse. I am not obligated or responsible for the deterioration of testing at DAZ Store regardless of how many poorly packaged items I keep. That's the store's responsibilty.
Exactly. Filling out tickets have become such a chore. Just moving the items to the correct folder took seconds. It’s good that people are divided on this, some will fill out tickets so it will be fixed and others find it easier to just fix themselves.
Just like the sales issue thread, there should be a fix issue thread so mods can quickly report issues. We shouldn’t have to, we are paying customers. It takes time to fill out the error reports, supply screenshots, etc... and it has often taken CS six months or more to fix an issue and I’d rather use the product right away if it’s an easy fix.
I would agree that reporting an issue is better than returning an item with no explanation. But if reporting the issue doesn't get the problem fixed then the options are limited. The people who suggest returning the item may have already tried submitting tickets a few times with no results.
Of course, and everyone should return what they please no question.
And yes, I understand submitting tickets is not always effective. I have said as much many times.
I do both, I fix my copy and submit a ticket so everyone else can hopefully get a fixed version. The only things I can't fix are script files as they are encoded and cannot be opened in a text editor, to my knowledge.
I have learned so much about duf and dsf files, I consider it time well spent.
Thanks Haruchai!
It's the manifest files that are wrong. I edited the manifest files as well as creating a new folder Textures and adding an underscore to the JDA_HDRI folder. Now it works in the Daz Install Manager.
I get this but to get a manifest file you need to install the product. So did you fix the manifest uninstall and then reinstall? This would give you both the correct and incorrect files, essentially doubling up. If you just corrected the folder and files as originally installed I'm unsure why it would be necessary to change the manifest other than to make uninstall work in the future. Genuinley curious, to see if there is something more I can learn about this process.
I would just repackage it properly using package assistant, otherwise redundant files may still exist.
I just moved everything into the correct folder in textures and deleted the empty folders.
I have put some images together so you can see what I did for those who use Daz Install Manager . When I first checked the files in install manager there were no underscore or textures. By changing the manifest files it finally showed up and fixed the problem. And yes you have to uninstall and then reinstall the files. I hope this helps.
You don't have to install the file to get the manifest.dsx When you unzip IM00072101-01_CyberpunkHDRI1of2.zip and IM00072101-02_CyberpunkHDRI2of2.zip in windows the manifest.dsx
is right there to edit before installation. If you did use Install Manager and installed the bad files with still getting errors in Daz then you must go to where you installed Daz 3D/InstallManager/Downloads and delete all files including manifest.dsx files then to the folder that says ManifestFiles and delete two of CyberpunkHDRI.dsx files and then reinstall the two files. Yes you can do it manually, but some people like to use the Daz Install Manager and this fix corrects all errors. After redownloading the Cyberpunk files they have not fixed the problem.
I know what you mean. I was really excited about this product to be honest.
First it would not even install... tech support finally got back to me on that issue and said it had been fixed. Something about a file hosting issue resolved.
So I was able to finally install it, but then I got the file not found errors when I tried to actually use the installed product.
I just don't have the time for this unfortunately. I don't know all the steps involved in making a product available for purchase, but there should be some kind of quality control process?
I AM TIRED OF THIS!!!!! Returning it. I'm not mad at the PA.
I'm mad at DAZ. Half the products in the Holt pro package were hosed. Half the time, especially when I buy those expensive pro bundles, I'll get blank AVIs with products. I download it and it doesn't work. Then I have to go around with tech support about getting it fixed. It is really, really annoying. Daz is not some scappy newbie anymore. I have been a customer of this company since 2001. You ought to know what you're doing by now. And yes, you will delete this, I'm sure. But you're going to read it first. STOP IT. You're professionals. We pay you a LOT of money for these products. YOU OWE US STUFF THAT WORKS.
I'm a profesisonal. I edit my books over and over and I spend hours on my covers. I expect the same effort from YOU.
Was this product ever updated and re-released to fix this issue?
I would purchase it again if that's the case. If not then oh well. Humbug!
