Humpty Dumpty

I love the 1800s illustrated children's book look to Humpty Dumpty. Unfortunately I am broke, the PA & PC+ sales will do that to me, so I'm buying in November. I remember Humpty Dumpty looking just like that except the body was much smaller relative to the head, in a grey hardcover book printed in London printed in the late 1800s or maybe prior to 1930: LOL, 50 years since I last saw the book. I can't remember the name but I think it was just called "Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes".

@RawArt - great job. Do you mind divulging the book you used for inspiration please? Thanks!

I am glad you like him....I thought it might be some quirky fun for the store.

I did not use any one reference for this guy, I had about a dozen. Oddly enough most illustrations of Humpty are very similar (though you might see a little of the actor Chris Klein in his face as well)

I think the Humpty Dumpty character was very well done, great whimsical fun idea. Sort of like joequick's 'Felton' figure ... a  muppet ... you look at it and say 'I'm not sure how I'll use this but it's too much fun to not have!'

That makes me happy to hear.....right now there is just not enough fun in this world

I loved it the moment I saw it.  What a creative and fun idea!  Hoping to play around with the character soon.

    Wonderful.  Whimsical.  Witty.

Definitely a product that inspires my attempts to make art, in addition to having around if I ever need it.

    Congratulations on a great character.

Thanks. Explains why I recognized Humpty. I will search on Etsy for that old book then.

Might that have been the one with the Maxfield Parrish illos?

The character is very cute and fun to play around with.  For some reason, I was unable to get his skin texture onto his hands and legs.  I may need to re-load the character to see what happened, but is anyone else having that issue?  It is more than likely user error.

Thats a strange one...it loads fine here. So if others have an issue too, just let me know

I reloaded and everything is working fine now.  Thanks RawArt, great quirky figure!

Oh no, it happened again.  When I apply the bandaid materials, the texture on arms and legs disappears (goes white).

the bandaid is a geoshell.....so if you select the shell (Humpty Bandaid) in the scene tab and then go to properties and Under "Shell/Visibility/Surfaces"  You can turn off "arms and legs" manually"

(and update has been made and submitted to QA...should not take too long)

Well I learned something new then.  Thank you, and thanks for the character.

Dapper toad poses work great for this figure.

I learned something new as well..............even though a geoshell is saved with visibility settings adjusted.....if you have a graft that hides body parts, then the shell will ignore the parts that were lost by the graft.

  • Forgive me,  how do I make the body visible?  I am not finding the properties panel you reference.

    Thanks
