Evelyn is really cute. Curious to see your test renders of her!

She's cute and a bit different. If anyone has gotten her and wouldn't mind showing her off, that would be great. :) https://www.daz3d.com/evelyn-for-genesis-8-female
(Evelyn by Cinnabar, sorry for anyconfusion. I should have been more specific.)

If your asking about Evelyn by Cinnabar; I couldn't tell you. It's conflicting with another character called Evelyn (by Maelwenn) that was sold by Daz
and loads the Maelwenn morphs instead when I try to use it :(
yeah I thought you initially meant that Evelyn
always post a link, it helps DAZ-DEALS find posts too

Its really an issue. Why can't PA's name their morphs individually, like some do, e.g. SASE, Krashwerks, Mousso and others? Why does DAZ allow this on non-DAZ Original characters? I suppose DAZ has a set of rules for PA's. There are gazillons of characters for G3 and G8, so there has to be some naming convention to avoid morph conficts.
Alternatively, provide a means of renaming morphs easily inside Studio.... the not-so-great QC on DAZ side really affects the business model, in my opinion.
Oh dear, I hadn't thought of this collision.
I've recently been having a terrible time with Midori and EJ Midori. They collided. I uninstalled both, but somehow, everytime I generate a Gen8 female, I get the figure I selected, with Midori dialed in 100%. I have to dial her out manually.
I put in a ticket for support with this issue, but it was never resolved.
Getting rid of the "unwanted morphs loading with Genesis ...":

I'll try that, thanks!
Here's one, with the head dialed down to 50%:
I tried these methods and I'm still getting EJ Midori dialed 100% in to every Gen8 female I load. Even though I ininstalled the figure and did the zero out stuff. It's maddening. I also deleted any character presets that had any possiblity of correlation. Any other ideas?
Oh, she's pretty! I love the soft, creamy skin. The translucency gives her an old-fashioned vibe.
Check to see if you have it installed with connect (as in you installed it from within the Daz Studio program). Those morphs get saved in the cloud and they can only be deleted by uninstalling from inside of DAZ studio. Ex. Locate the product in Smart Content > left click > Uninstall...
That's a bummer. Evelyn/Lynn was one of the first products I ever bought from Daz and I wouldn't want to lose her, and also odd that she's out of the store.
Did you put in a ticket?
I was hoping this would do the trick, but no luck. Thank you for trying.
This is basically the same advice as was described on the link, but if this doesn't work, it means that the advice is not followed correctly (as it is written).
To fix any ill-behaving morphs, do as follows;
1. Load your base figure or the developer version to an empty scene. ("Genesis 8 Basic Female" or "Genesis 8 Female Dev Load")
2. Select the figure
3. Select "Show Hidden properties" in the Parameters-Tab, drop down menu (right-click)
4. Zero the figure (Found in Parameters-Tab, drop down menu)
5. Memorize the figure (Found in Parameters-Tab, drop down menu)
6. File->Save As->Support Asset->Save Modified Assets
This procedure will zero the default value in the ill-behaving morph/morphs, and while saving DS also shows you a list of the morphs it is changing.
I've followed this process (yes, as written) countless times. Countless. This last time, I went through it, saved the modified asset, saw the list of changes run by, and tada, there she was, with no Midori. I deleted Genesis 8 Basic Female from the scene. Then I put Genesis 8 Basic Female back in the scene. No Midori! Just as she should be! Great.
Then I closed Daz, rebooted my computer, loaded Daz, and then loaded Genesis 8 Basic Female. Guess what? Midori is back. Every. Single. Time. No matter what I do.
The same thing happens if I save Basic Female, delete her from the scene, and then load anything that isn't Basic Female. Midori shows up. I've wasted two days of my life constantly loading, zeroing, saving, fiddling, running google searches on similar problems.
Nothing works. I'm frustrated beyond words.
How was the content installed?
Hi, Richard. Thanks for responding. All my Daz downloads go through Install Manager.
I've also tried uninstalling and deleting Genesis 8 Basic Female, redownloading, and reinstalling. No help there either. I just don't know what else to try. I did put in a support ticket on this months ago but I got passed around from person to person, waited weeks between responses, and eventually they just closed the ticket without a resolution.
So you don't have anything in /Data/Cloud (other, perhaps, than a meta folder) in any content directory?
Re8sntalling the base figure is not going to do anything for non-zero defaults or name clashes, those are separate files that are read in when you load the base figure (or any character for the base).
I have no /Data/Cloud pathway anywhere.
I went nuclear on the problem today. I used the morph parameters settings in the parameters tab to locate the morph paths of Midori Head and Midori body and manually deleted them from my drive.
It's making Daz grind very, very hard and take a lot of time. Gen8 males load just fine, but Gen8 Females are taking a very long time. Several minutes, although males load within seconds. HOWEVER, I have sucessfully loaded three Gen8 Female figures and no evil unwanted Midori has appeared.
I'm guessing that Daz is searching for something it isn't finding before finally doing what it's supposed to do. It would be nice if it didn't take forever to load a Gen8 female but it sure is nice not having the cursed Midori haunting me.
Check the final lines of Help>Troubleshooting>View Log file after loading Genesis 8 Female, that may show up at least some causes of the delay.
Oh, good idea. I should have thought of that. I'm repeatedly getting:
2020-12-17 15:08:06.186 WARNING: ..\..\..\..\..\src\sdksource\fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(6777): Could not find output property for formula: Genesis8Female:/data/DAZ%203D/Genesis

2020-12-17 15:07:24.629 WARNING: ..\..\..\..\..\src\sdksource\fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(1680): Failed to create alias!
What does all that mean? It seems angry.
I don't know about Evelyn, but I put in a ticket for EJ Midori and the problem was never resolved.
i'm putting in a ticket for the cinnabar evelyn versus maelwenn evelyn & lynn morph load conflict. the only way i can get cinnabar's evelyn to load with the correct shape is to uninstall maelwenn's wonderful characters.
