Did G8F Have Separate Eyebrows Or... :/

So I'm going about finally converting my old V4 characters to the latest G8F model, and one of my main characters is missing her eyebrows. Long story short, her V4 model had eyebrow transmaps. When I went about converting the textures via the V4 Legacy UVs, I noticed my G8F model had no eyebrows, thus making my conversion decidedly incomplete. When I asked a friend about it, he said his G8F had eyebrow options, which made me wonder what I was missing. :/ 

So yeah, did G8F have eyebrows at all? Or do I gotta pick those up separately?

    The eyebrows are part of the Victoria 8 package; the Genesis 8 esentials only comes with eyelashes.

    I haven't actively used DS in a long time, but I did do a write-up on converting V4's brow prop to Genesis. Might still work for G8F.

    You'll need some sort of V4 clone for G8F. I don't personally have one (only uvs) so I can't test.

    Vicky 8 doesn't actually use those mesh eyebrows she comes with, she has one face diffuse map that has no eyebrows on it, her makeup and eyebrows are separate PNG files, which for Iray get plugged into the Diffuse Overlay Weight and Diffuse Overlay Color channels.

    So if your V4 eyebrows are also PNG then plug them in the same place, then tell Iray to use them by adjusting them in the Image Editor option for the Diffuse Overlay Weight.

    I have Hierarchical Materials for the brow materials in the Victoria 8 product.

    Where did you get these from? For me, it's the same as @Bejaymac. Even using the premade V8 char preset, she's using a diffuse overlay for her eyebrows, as are her iray brow materials. The fibermesh attachment is under Anatomy > Victoria 8 Eyebrows, and never load by default.

    They are just in the Victoria 8 product.

    The Hierarchical materials came with my Victoria 8 too...

    Strange. Nothing I have for her is labeled "H. Material(s)" as are other hierarchal mats I have from other products. This was a fresh download at the end of November this year.

    Still doesn't change the fact that she's never loaded in with these by default.

    No, they don't load in by default but they are there to use if you like.  The brow colors are not labeled as H. Material but they do work that way.
