Serene pool or pond for reflections?

Is there a serene pool or pond for reflections in DAZ?

I found this pool that came with Gothic Courtyard, but the water is wavy and there is not alternate texture.

It would be perfect if I had a nice water shader that reflected the clouds.

Or any product from the DAZ Shop that has a decorative pond or pool where I can place a figure sitting at the edge and have some nice reflections.

Is the water geometry flat in the viewport or is it modeled with the waves? If it's flat, then you just need to apply a different water shader. If the waves are modeled in, you can try to hide the water plane and then insert your own plane made with the primitives tool before applying a water shader to that.

    Thanks!

This set has some liquid shaders that could work for smooth water and includes some tints of blue you might like. It's not really meant for large water props so it might not work so well for the pond. It isn't very expensive to try if you are a PC+ member though. I have a bunch of other water shaders but I think a lot of them came with other products.

    Thank you so much!

I found this one which is meant for water ponds and surfaces. It seems to be the only water shader in the whole DAZ Shop. But it seems to be tailored to work specifically with certain DAZ environments.

And then I found this which is pretty good for the scene I am thinking about creating:

Nice find of the pool water shaders. I may grab them myself.

I don't know why I didn't think of the Water Spring. I just got it recently too but haven't used it yet.

If you purchase the SY Pool Water shaders, let me know if they can be applied to any water surface, ie. Water Spring.

I'd like to purchase them but my budget is shot this month.

If you have it look at Pond Builder in the DAZ Store.

You can try lowering the bump and/or normal value until the water is still enough.

Lowering them to 0 should make the water look perfectly, unnaturally still like a mirror.

JGreenless has some nice water in Nature Shaders - I've used them in a few images. There's severl types in there, ranging from like a deep ocean blue, to clearwater, to that tropical turqoise blue. They have displacement or normal maps to create some soft ripple effects, but nothing that would damage a reflection, just might need to be tiled up a couple of steps depending on how big your surface is.

Thank you! I just purchased the Nature Shaders, and will try them later when I get some free time.

The product was on sale today too. :)

Thanks! That looks like a 3Delight product and I'm only using Iray.

You don't have to buy water shaders. There are three that come free with DAZ Studio. You can find them in your library under Shader Presets/_iray.

Thanks! But the Nature Shaders were only $1.18 with the PC Discount on top of the Holiday Loyalty Sale discount.

So they could come in handy! :)
