dForce Hula Outfit issues

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the different options for the hula skirt for the above outfit made by PhilW? I'm very new to DAZ and I'm trully confused. I have tried selecting one of the material options for the skirt under the "hula options" tab with the hula belt selected, but nothing has changed. I tried running a simulation and going into Iray view to see if the changes were apparent there, but I still couldn't see any changes. If anyone has this outfit and knows how to get the skirt options to work, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Try a full render, not Iray preview. By default dForce hair doesn't appear in Iray preview to save resources.

  • I tried that, still no dice. I applied the material to the skirt again but the length of the skirt didn't change even in the render. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something, or if I haven't selected the correct object.

In the Scene tab, where you have the belt selected, click on it and it should show the actual dForce part of it, nested within. (I've had similar issues with other dForce and non-dForce items.)
  • SUCCESS!! Selecting the skirt grass in the scene tab let me change it around :D Why is it that selecting the skirt there allows it to change, is it because transform is selected? Thank you Leana and Molly for the help!!

This is why most dForce hair products include hierarchical materials.
