How many hours, days or weeks should a script take to cancel?

If your using your desk calender to measure your wait time for that darn script to finallly stop you know there is a core issue.

Its not a PRO application if you need to regularly reboot to simply cancel a script or other minor process.

This seems to be a common issue with 3d packages (If I had a dollar for every time Maya crashed when I sneezed).

I can render with multiple CPUs & a ton of cores/Threads not to mention GPUs.

But the core app is (in the stone age) running on one core/thread despite multicores have been around for 19 years.

Sorry I'm just fustrated that canceling a script means yet another restart.

Its almost 2021, where are those multi-threaded apps we where promised (and my jet pack!)
