Looking at the 2021-01 Hair, I see that there is a fit for both Victoria 8 as well as Victoria 8.1. Interesting...
I wonder if Daz is going to charge us for the update, given it's not an entirely new line.
(Unlike some here, I wasn't using Daz when V4 was the in thing, let alone when the upgrades to that model happened, so I've no idea what they've done in the past in regards to such.)
^Well, the base Genesis 8 figures are free, so I imagine the base Genesis 8.1 (or whatever it's called) version will be free too.
If 'Victoria 8.1' is a new figure, then it'll cost money same as all the others.
It's certainly an interesting prospect - Recently, DAZ seem to have been promoting animation quite a lot, so maybe there's going to be a new face rig and/or alternate skeleton(s).
Alternatively, with Unreal Engine 5 being able to handle almost limitless polygons in a level/scene, then maybe DAZ are gonna unleash a super super HD G8 with 100 million polygons, LOL.
Of course, it's probably best to expect nothing too dramatic (maybe it's an overhaul of morph management or something that we don't even see any difference on the user end)...
...then when it does drop, we will (hopefully) be delighted at the improvements.

I've converted some of their textures to G8F
We also just had a new 4.15 beta with a few dot version upgrades to Iray, so maybe it all ties together (There is mention of an iray skin material update)
Does anyone remember which were the main differences between Victoria 4 and Victoria 4.2?
