New Genre - Holidays

Okay. As we all know, the DAZ3D store has been acting wonky since the update. I for one am having a miserable time finding different things using the default search function. But while I'm dealing with this, I was thinking that maybe it's time to update one of the search parameters. Namely, genre.

So how about it, DAZ3D? Why not add Holidays to the list of Genres? A specific category for holiday-related things such as Thanksgiving turkeys, Easter Eggs, and Christmas trees?

    I would love this!  I can never find holiday items when I need them.

    If not a category, I'd love to see a dedicated page to it, like that stickied "Interactive License Sale, DOs for $5" banner before and throughout the holidays. And when you click on it, all the available relevant items, like Christmas or Valentine's, are together.

    Sure, why not?  It's not like there are a lot of Diwali or Holi items in the store, though.

    Good idea, simple request, programming nightmare. I don't see it happening any time soon. Aside from that, many holidays are not based on religion so I dont know why we're going there.

    And many holidays don't have as much to do with religion as people think they do.  Or at least not with the religion the celebrants are thinking of.

    Anyway, Daz doesn't tag items as seasonal, so they'd have to go back through thousands of items, and that's not going to happen.  The best we can hope for is that search get "downgraded" back to what it was, so that it's actually functional.

    It would be helpful if content could be tagged. So people could add labels.  So for example the outlaw outfit might come up when someone searched for cowboy.   Since the search is so horrible if the search term isn't in the name good luck.

    Would also like a category (or at leat a filter fot the wishlist page) which allows for displaying Iray-only or non-Iray results only.

    Heck, I'd also like the store's search function to work properly, again...
