Just a heads up, Kayla has an update again today in my DIM. Unfortunately I don't have time to load her up and check what's been updated this time but hopefully the eyelashes fix.

     Nope

I'd love to know what other issues I haven't noticed that have been fixed. It would have been great if they'd priortized the eyelashes.

  • Well, there was an update.... in DIM... for what reason... ???? The readme does not tell anything.

I have been dealing with a ton of family stuff so I've been away from Daz Studio and the forums for what feels like ages, but I finally was able to take a few minutes to get into Daz Studio and do a render for fun.

I used RN Kayla as a base but added quite a few morph adjustments including some asymmetry face morphs, thinning out the lips some, adjusting the skin settings a little, and adjusting the eyes and brow:

I think she makes a lovely base for some realistic character renders - one just needs to tame a bit of the slightly more stylized aspects like the large eyes/irises, lips, etc if one is going for realism, imo. This is my first time rendering her but so far I'm really glad I picked her up.

I'm not arguing that it's not a nice character.  We bought the character, after all, because we liked it.  The hair is pretty nice, too.  But there are some things that need to be fixed.

I wasn't arguing that nothing needed to be fixed - I wasn't arguing about anything. I simply stated that I like the character and that I finally had a chance to render her. It wasn't my intention to imply anything else... indecision

  • Thanks for showing her with some tweaks, Diva.

I've been on the fence about her since she is quite distinctive and I haven't seen any renders showing her 'mixed' before yours.

Thanks, 3Diva for sharing. I like the character A LOT, but really struggled with her at first attempt so your image renews my faith that it would be worth my time to work with her some more.

Here is a render of Fredda but I didn’t notice till later that her teeth look funny. I’m not sure if that’s the expression, lighting or what...
