If they wanted to make a total sellout then the discounted price for each Pro Bundle should have gone down to $10 or less. With this one it's just $19 which really isn't any different from previous sales.

  • Not to mention so far it's been an odd bag of women only. You would think if it was an all over sale they'd be doing more than one pro bundle every 2 hours and do a male/female pair.

Could be, but I suspect that at this point they've shot the G9 horse before it came out of the stable.  Given how many base figures they've made for G8, I imagine a huge portion of the DS user base aren't going to be willing to step away from the investment they've made on all their dedicated G3/G8 products and utilities any time soon.

  • I hope so.

  • If it actually is a total sale-out, then it would propably be the one that goes down as the worst sale-out ever in history of online sales. So I guess, no.

Yeah, they need to make room on their hard drives.  They have thousands of copies of base characters taking up space and can't add anything else to the Daz store until they're all gone.  They're probably also what's preventing Daz from delivering new assets in a timely manner.  Not to mention that the lack of disk space is preventing the Quality Control people from checking products before they're offered to customers.

Are they still doing all of their hosting storage internally?  IIRC, Renderosity's been using AWS for quite a while now and that makes so much more sense, both economically and in terms of backup protection.

Given the previous store design decisions, I wouldn't be surprised if they managed to create a situation like this. Maybe for DRM they gave each copy a different digital signature and they have to keep each one so they don't lose any of the signatures until they're sold, and then the signature is transferred to that person's copy of DAZ Studio.

Naw, that's all outsourced by Daz to some company that's not doing an amazing job.  It's some new company that's been the source of most of the downloading issues, and that swears that Daz's stuff is the only thing they have a problem with.  Honest.

No longer. It's Landon (linked because this post will remain even once the sale is over) right now. Still an odd bag tough.

I don't think the offers today are that good. I mean, they're fine... but not so extraordinary that they must indicate something major happening. Just another day at the DAZ store.

Remember, they've talked about improving G8, so I don't think G9 is coming any time soon.

Truth. I can live with Genesis 8 for a few more years at this point, but for the love of pete, work on fixing the software! I can't even begin to tell you how buggy DS has been as of late. Thank goodness for Diffeomorphic, is all I'm saying.... ughhh.

YES !! ... I'm having a lot more problems with 4.14 than ever with 4.12. Stable software would be really nice.

You can try taking a page out of Daz's playbook and uninstall your characters.  Should make things run more smoothly.

Very true!!, I was scared of that because I thought my video card was dying or my pc had some issue but is not the case, all other 3D softwares I own running smoothly.

this version 4.14 is the worst update of all, what is the point of sell and sell assets?, is like buying a sack of oranges and the Juicer broken, come on! angry

  • so much ... gasp ..speculation devil

  • Michael 8 was on sale yesterday morning UK time (11pm-1am DAZ time), so Landon's not the only male that has been on offer.

    Regards,

    Richard.

    ...Cube 8 HD.

Didn't purchase any of the bundles. Went out to run errands most of the afternoon to stock up before a week of heavy cold rain sets in here, so missed several of the blink sale offerings that may have been interesting.

I just can't get into Cube 8.  Cube 7 was much cuter.

Cube 8 lost a lot of character, the design feels just a little square. crying
