This is what I would love to see in the store next year:
* Cat 8
* The Egyptian male bundle, so I finally can do somthing with Twosret and all her things
* The male high elf bundle. I have so many female elf items, mostly huntresses, now I need some male ditto
* More dog breeds for dog 8- like the chihuahua, the poodle (with strand based curls perhaps), the dalmatian, the alsatian, the king charles spaniel, the jack russel, the pomeranian, the papillon etc.
* Dforce wine and iwy to drape around buildings, fences, walls et cetera.
* Large HDRI domes (10 000 pix or larger) so you can use them for larger pictures than today.
* More sensible female shoes. I'm so tired of post-apocalyptic, fantasy and fighter items with heels. It's all absurd and then I have to kitbash in other shoes from other outfits, and that's not always easy
* More male fantay outfits wihich isn't armour
* More male scifi outfits which isn't space suits
* More male gothic outfits
* More male robots and androids
* A greek island styled alley and taverna

I want more male fantasy outfits too. Basically, a style that matches a lot of those fairy and elf girls. It's similar to the barbarian style, but without the furs, hides, or bones. But I know that will never happen because these aren't boxers, and somehow forbidden. I at least want long, pretty "romantic" elf boy hair. We're long overdue.
I want puppies and toy breeds. Also, dForce hair poodles, with the rounded haircut, you know the one.
At this point I will be happy with just the return of regular Pro/Starter Bundles.
My wishes for 2021:
1. more polygon based dforce hair like what linday is famous for. it's like the only hair I really use anymore and while I like the SBH hair idea, I have yet to see any that look realistic.
2. More heels, I have no use for flats and own most of the heels in any store. There are still lots of styles that have yet to be made (my GF and her heel collection can confirm that)
3. a new African elephant!! I appreciate the deepsea version, but he is very lacking and just doesn't look all that majestic. Lots of poses also
4 More African antelopes, gazelles, kudu, cape buffalo, waterbuck, etc. Either standalone, or for the horse 2, with poses and quality, but not to demanding where I can have heards in the scene. Preferrably a pack of antelope. There was an old one for the deer, but it got pulled before I could buy.
5 A new U.S.cavalry outfit for G8M with tack for the horse 2, like this https://www.daz3d.com/m3-cavalry
6 More native American clothing and accessories, Quality and authentic designs as well as representation of various tribes, inluding the iroquois nation as well as the plains tribes.
7. More IMPORT options for Daz Studio. I can appreciate all these bridges, but I like working IN DS and want a working FBX importer umong other formats.
8 more accessories and jewelry, especially earrings. Things like cincers, fingerless gloves, corsets, chokers, necklaces, etc
9 More DS users, since this will boost DAZ and PA sales, give us more options, attract new PAs, help PAs create more niche items and help drive DS development.
10 Better quality control from DAZ. There seems to be too many instances of broke items lately and DAZ really needs to push PAs to stick to standards more. For instance PA daveyabbo, who i no longer buy from, uses the CHARACTER folder for their figures, when it is supposed to be CHARACTER(S). Same for the inconsistancy of where a set goes in ENVIRONMENT. ARCHITECTURE, PROPS, or a vanity folder. I have no use for smart content or connect and feel it's a problem when new users have no idea where their files are even installed to.
11 Last, but not least a VR option for DS (one can dream). I am in VR daily and would love to be able to go into a scene and pose things with my hands or walk around the scene looking for the best camera angles, posing ideas, etc.
1) That all PAs are very succesful and be blessed by creativity and humongous sales

I'd be happy if stuff worked as advertised. At this point, I wouldn't mind having the old store back, too.
How are you surprised? that is a pretty obscure breed, unless you live in Japan.
Yeah, there are so many much more common and popular breeds I'd expect to show up before that.
1. More Scripts like organizing your own stuff.
2.More fancy dresses and cupcake silhoutte jumper skirts that actually come with blouses preferably in different styles like long or short sleeved
3.More shaders with fun prints
4.More settings
5.More modern neighborhoods. Like the houses are nice but think of something like Urban Sprawl 3 but if a PA goes full Zsazsa Hadid on it and lots of curves, plants, glass, and pastel emissives
6.Other modern neighborhood styles too like sustainable
7.Better search and organization
8.More cute creatures and robots
9.More Sakura 8 based characters
10.A male anime character that looks like they'd be from the same universe as Sakura 8
I mostly wish for the Gallery to return to us.
Higher quality birds. Preferably of the spookier kind. Please :(
Ravens, owls, crows, etc with distinct, detailed feathers.

...as I mentioned on another thread, a large 17th - 19th century English country manor.(a modular kit would be real nice).
...fewer outfits with spike heels (particularly sci fi).or at least, collections of sensible shoes & boots that could be substituted.
...historically "inspired" female clothing (like from the old west) that doesn't have bare bellies or plunging necklines to show cleavage.

...new fish (including game fish like pike, trout, bass, sturgeon, perch, salmon).
...a real baseball uniform. We have a baseball diamond, bats, balls but no unis. (there used to be one for Gen3 but it was expensive and no longer is in the store).
..a "crotch fix" script for transferring male clothing to female characters.

There have been a lot of great products and utilities in 2020, thank you PAs and Daz Studio. More of the same!
1. A new, modern Griffin figure with no inherited DAZ cat jank. Also all the fixings for said griffin (coat and plummage variations, poses, a saddle, armor, riding poses for G8M).
2. Cat 8.
3. Gianni 8.
4. Hockey uniform, equipment, and poses (skating, shooting, cellys, etc.) for G8M. There's been nothing hockey-related since M4, apart from a few poses in a multi-sport pack for the female base of a generation that has no hockey gear.
5. An indoor ice rink with glass, working doors, nets, team benches, sin bins, and interactive poses.
6. Lacrosse uniform, equipment, and poses for G8M + an outdoor field.
7. More lean and/or lanky male core figures.
8. Elven and fae men to balance out the non-stop parade of delicate, pointy-eared women.
9. Outfits with appropriate footwear and poses that don't require crazy high heels or a broken back.
10. Long hair, ponytails, and braids for the men (no baked in boob curve or conversion distortion).
11. Tailored, contemporary menswear with well-defined shoulders that has modeled details like seams, stitching, flies, buttons, and pockets.
12. Places for people to carry things other than their hands, especially fantasy and historical-themed packs, pouches, etc.
13. Disallow vanity folders and enforce consistency. I've got separate shader categories for Liquid and Liquids because products came that way and so the metadata is subtractively locked.
14. DAZ to accept responsibility for making sure older products are complete. "It's old and you just have to deal with it because we're not going to," is not an acceptable attitude when a customer buys an outfit that's missing almost all the morphs that are still being actively advertised. Either support it or knock that $24.95 price tag permanently down to $1.99 and sell it as-is past the return period.
15. Gianni 6 ported over to Genesis 8 and fully updated for Iray, with a modern HD add-on, because this is a wishlist and also it feels more realistic than asking for the Detroit Red Wings not to be a five-alarm dumpster fire or pick better than fourth in the draft... or for Cat 8.
Shibas are really common in Anime and Manga -- which makes sense because they're a common -- honestly iconic -- breed in Japan. Obviously anime inspired figures are big business for Daz. The shiba inu goes hand in hand with that.
It's not a particular driver for me, mind. But I get why others want them.
They've been doing better with practical female footwear, but there's still a long way to go. I mostly work in SF, superhero stuff and the like, and heels just feel silly to me. At this point, half the time my workflow is "model character, find perfect outfit, load outfit, delete shoes, zero foot pose, dig through content looking for shoes that work with the outfit. It's not that hard with a bodysuit, but when you're doing powered armor...
I'm hoping for a lot more G8M content (and the return of the Starter/Pro bundle model), but beyond that I would give several internal organs and half my Transformers collection to get some honest to G-d database management tools. It's not like this is an alien concept -- this is Postgres. Content library repair utilities, consolidation utilities, integration with the the RSSY up-and-downcoverters so that when you convert a G2F shirt to G8F, it gets added to the original product automatically... you know. Stuff like that.
Beyond that, I'm mostly hoping for continued engine improvement. I'm a... heavy spender... (I own every bundle in the bundle sale as of this hour, for example), and I like having access to that content as needed -- but it takes a good ten minutes for G8F to load on my (actually pretty powerful) computer because it loads all the morphs. Similarly, we need need need need a figure reset that takes accidental property setting changes and zeros them out. As it is, I clean them out manually roughly monthly, but again, looking at my workflow right now, it's 'load figure, click on 'currently used,' zero out all the anomalous properties, then actually begin working, and that just seems weird.
I don't want to sound too disgruntled. I think Daz had a great year and I'm going great guns with my renders. I love what the PAs and Devs have done this year, and I'm excited for more. With things like the aforementioned RSSY converter series, EJ's utilities and the like my renders are doing great, and with the increased number of specialty products (Oso's amazing shaders, Sickleyield's... um... existence because pretty much everything she does is awesome, and the same with Riversoft Art and a bunch of thers, etc etc etc) we're in a great position.
One thing I don't want to see is a launch of Genesis 9, unless it comes with a means of easily upgrading Genesis 8 to the new standard. Like everyone else, I've got too much of a Genesis 8 investment to start heavily moving into the new version. I know Genesis 9 will come and hopefully it'll be awesome, but if it's not mostly seamless with 8 (at least moving up from 8 to 9) I can't justify moving in that direction for a long time.
Oh! I remembered another product I'd love to see! It'd be great to have a utility that can scan at least your smart content, and do a (small) batch render of the items in each product that could be exported to PDF or the like, preferably by category. I currently have 644 Smart Content aware products under Default/People/Female alone, with no way in Smart Content to filter by, say, G8F unless I've loaded a base G8F in my scene and selected Filter-by-Context. Even then, the vast majority of those products' icons are just headshots. I'd love to be able to export a catalog of Default/People/Female (for example) ordered by generation with a five figure wireframe turnaround for each figure, so when I have a project I can quickly scroll through, look at the actual figures, and decide which will work best for me.
Also, since I'm wishing? I'd like to win the lottery, have the pandemic end, and grant perfect health to every Daz user. I recognize not all my desires are practical.

!. Fix the manufacture/purchased/order and install dates that got messed up in November 2020 and are still throwing errors. I can't sort in 'Install Date', 'Order Date', or any other way, except 'A - Z' now.
2. Teach whomever is the new person who is doing metadata for Smart Content the correct standards for DS and it is not Poser-era stuff. And that there is a difference between G3F, G8F, G3M, and G8M for compatibility. And putting compatibility on one item in a list, does not make the rest of the items compatible also. PAs are not responsible for the mess that is being made of it.
3. A good, solid, basic tutorial for a new use on how to deal with the mess that is Daz content today: Old Poser files, old DS files, newer DS files, why some DS files still need the Poser files because they don't have the objects, how to keep from throwing your computer across the room when your database just got trashed by a database reset (or how to do it right)...
4. As prices go up, my purchasing is going down. So I am looking for quality and items I can use. Not maybe, but really use. For me, realism, functionality, Sci-Fi, historic, modern, working clothes for men and women and children. And people who reflect the world, or the possible universe.
I appreciate it when a PA takes the time to try something new that challenges me. (It is why I will buy the fairies and elves and anime!)
Most of all, I want this to be fun and not a fight to create something.

...LAMH fur for Cat 8.
I have only one, which would empower all the others anyone might have:
1) A Daz Studio programer's manual. I'm not sure what the point of having the foresight to allow loading native DLLs was if you weren't going to document it. It is a tremendous missed opportunity to make Daz Studio better in ways that even Daz hasn't thought of.
if Alessandro could make LAMH work with the iray engine without conversion to static mesh and sync with animation in it, since the standbased hair can it should be possible but I guess it depends on how much source code DAZ makes accessible in the SDK to deveopers.
I much prefer LAMH to SBH but the latter does sync for rendered animation easier
I can force LAMH to by keyframing every pose on it but it ramps up my RAM usage and crashes my computer after 30+ frames
it doesn't need to be dynamic BTW I don't even simulate fur on Carrara animals
thats another thing if DAZ must insist on keeping dforce strandbased hair PA only for the love of god sell use some editable not dforce pelts for our animals so we can at least tweak those!
it is the number one reason I prefer AM LAMH animals even if I have to convert to mesh
...dForce Hair is more resource intensive than dForce cloth. When I saw the sim time for dForce Classic Long Curly Hair on a GTX 770 was 25 min (I have a 750Ti currently installed as the Titan only has one DVI port and three Direct connect ones while both displays are DVI) I said "no".
1) A red panda with Dforce hair (cutest cute little furry animal in the known multiverse).
2) More fantasy / historical ballgown type dresses. The more elaborate and over the top the better.
3) A 64 bit Hexagon. There was a beta version a while back but nothing seems to have come of this project. For those of us who don't like Blender (to put it as politely as I can) this would be a major step forwards.
4) More breeds for Dog 8, with Dforce hair, especially a Westie (the second cutest cute little furry animal in the known multiverse).
