Did you spend a lot on Daz last month

Hi all. I'm just curious (and trying to feel better), to see if anyone else spent more then usual last month due to the extra % we got. I myself usually spend about $20 on average a month. I did a little over $300 last month and will now spend the next couple of months recovering. Damn you Daz, but at the same time, I got stuff to keep my busy for a while.

    Nope!

I didn't spend much, surprisingly, given that it was quite a good sale.  I think not seeing the loyalty discount until stuff was in your cart hampered the sale -- not seeing the final price (and being confused about what got the extra discount and what didn't) deterred me from trying stuff unless there was something I really wanted.  When there was, I was pleasantly surprised, but by then it was late in the month.

No. Ironically, very few of the items I actually wanted to buy came in at decent sale prices - At least that I could tell. I didn't renew my PC+, either. I must come to terms with what I've got before I go buying more. Sad, but I guess that's how it goes.

I spent more on iray shaders, scripts and HDR lights than figures, I have more figures than time to play with.

  • Upon looking at my order history, it turns out I didn't spend very much at all in December.  Spent around $1K here in November.  However, I also bought a new laptop mid-November (around $3500).  So I'm building up my "hobbies" fund again. :)  I have enough to purchase a new desktop and still grab a good amount of DAZ goodies this month.  I've already been adding to my DAZ wishlist today. :)

I picked up a few cheap PC+ items, but I didn't buy very much else until several G8 pro bundles were super cheap in the cart with 30% loyalty and a new or still new release. I did get the new V3Digitimes tool, because she makes excellent and useful stuff. I spent under $100 on content and another $70 on a discounted gift card.

About $200 more than the $500 I ha budgeted for the Holiday sale.. I'll definitely have to cut down until MM.

I was suprised, but I spent less than $20.00. I kept forgetting about the loyalty discount, or I might have spent more. I was more concerned with spending for others, so I might not have spent more had I remembered more often (plus most of the new stuff I wasn't hugely interested in - I did really like the Topsy 8 The Tinkerer Bundle, but it was a bit too expensive for me, especially during the holidays). I'm really happy that I got the Daisy 8 Pro bundle for a crazy good price though!! Now I have 4 G8 Pro bundles!

Well, at least someone is approaching the amount I spent - in fact, considering most of mine was store credit from discounted Gift Cards I probably didn't spend a lot more in actual cash terms.

The rest of you, however, make me feel postively profligate.

I've probably spent less this month than I ever had before. I'm waiting for the sales to actually work as promised before I get back into my old spending habits.

I did not spend much in the first half, many 30 dollars or so, there was only one decent coupon throughout that period and I was travelling that day, so I missed it. There were a few better offers later in the month, and seeing pro bundles for under 10 dollars (last 2 I got for $3 dollars) got me to spend a fair bit in the closing days, since I bought a new/still new release with each deal.

  • I spent just over $50, & normally spend $20 or less. I probably would have spent more if I had more money the first half of the month, when there were several new items I wanted (which is rare for me, as I mostly use G3 & some G2). Actually, most of that fifty I spent on New Year's Eve, because that day the 30% gift card discount could be triggered buying 2 of just about anything on the Holiday page, including the featured PC+ items. I spent some of the GC right away. The rest I am saving (read, "will try to save") until Millawa &/or Juan Carlos come off New status and become eligible for more discounts & the PC+ coupons.

Surprisingly, I spent lower than I thought. Most of what I spent was on two discounted gift cards that I've used to buy other discounted stuff with. I got some nice deals and even extended my PC+ membership for a year when they had a sale one day that allowed us to double our loyalty discount on the yearly membership.

I spent about my usual monthly budget (out of store credit). But I then bought two month's budget-worth of GCs in those rather good GC deals, so I went quite a lot over budget in actual cash spent - but at least my store credit is now all set for January and maybe February (although that depends on what sort of offers and new items turn up!)

I picked up only 5 new releases (apart from the daily freebies of course), but I cleared 9 items off my wishlist (some of them high-ticket items) in good deals and hoovered up a couple of dozen discounted PC+ items.

Last month I did typical for me but October, November, and January were all more than 50+ dollars of purchases. It's tempting to buy more when I am close to finishing my wishlist.

  • I've spent about $3k at Daz and Rendo combined over the holidays, with the lions share going to Daz. Those gift card sales always suck me in, and then rendo had that big half off sale, I had no chance! I've got so much new stuff I still haven't had time to get through it all. Still not sure if I'm ashamed or pleased with myself.

  • I spent much more than I intended, because some older material came on at basement-bottom prices, and I was lured in once or twice by a New and Shiny Thing (Deviney gets me every time!).  The deals on gift cards certainly made the exchange rate more palatable, as well.  All-in-all, my New Year's resolution should be to stop shopping at Daz ;-)

  • Nope. Since being booted from the PC+ I haven't spent much of anything. Maybe $50 in the last two months. Other places, I have spent more however.

I spent about 130$ which is really quite a lot for me. But the deals were really good and I got a lot of neat stuff!

...pretty much the same here.  Really cleaned up on those PC specials (many were under even the old 1.99$ price)  The biggest purchases were a 70$ GC (at 30% discount) and FilterForge 9. Agreed, that loyalty discount came in real handy and with coupon offerings it made for an even better savings.

  • Aaaack ... why did I look???  My budget varies quite a bit from month to month ( irregular income ) so I do not really have a budget as such. Half way through the PC+ sale I got some extra income and I indulged ( perhaps a little collecting beyond what is immediately useful ).  I was able to get a little extra in december as well.  There have been a number of items in my wishlist that seldom get more than 50 to 60 percent off ... with the loyalty discount, they went further ... and so I indulged again and spent as much as I could on those products. Even with the store misbehaving, I managed to find some really nice deals.

How much did I spend?  Umm ... I am not in a contest, so I shall just leave it as in the hundreds rather than in the tens. Yes, probably more than looks good on paper, but I think it was worth it as I have a lot of useful items that I plan to use ( not just collecting items ).

Same here.  Renderosity has really picked up it's game with sales this year, though I have to say that the DAZ shelves are starting to look pretty bare to me given that I now own over two thirds of the overall store and nine tenths of all DAZ Originals.

  • Nope, I hardly spent at all. Doesn't matter what sort of sales are offered if I have no need for the items showcased. But it's great to see people found some yummy deals. There were some great sales, but unfortunately, hardly any of the new items were of any use to me.

    no more than usual

  • I don't think I spent a lot, but I'm scared to check. LOL.

  • I was being 'so good' ... until those pro bundles went on goofy sales lol ... so yes, I spent quite abit more than I had intended but that's okay. Got loads of stuff to keep me busy for a year or 10 ;-)

I got curious and looked a bit more into it. Almost all of my spending came from store credit that i bought at 20% off (or better), so we're actually talking about 104$.

Looking at the items I got in Decembre that I actually wanted (so not counting things in bundles that I'm indifferent to, or things I only put in the cart to unlock discounts), I count 28 items.

Which puts me at about 3.70$ per item.

A number I'm happy with, even if the overall amount I spent is a bit on the high side for me.

My booty (cheeky) includes three G8 core characters, several non-DAZ-originals that don't go on sale too often, and a webinar that goes for 69$ at full price.
