How to save pose?

Actually I know how from this thread https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/41704/hey-daz-can-we-get-poses-that-don-t-move-our-figures-out-of-position/p2

But my question is how to save pose so could be loaded fast. Eg: now when I save it after restarting daz studio it takes sometimes 1 minute to load saved pose in new scene. And when I buy poses from the shop they are loading very fast. Are the poses from the shop created in different software?

  • You are saving a pose, to apply to a pre-loaded figure? Using the options dialogue that pops up after the file dialogue will let you exclude certain data - if you don't want the expressions get rid of them, for example; with each parameter that is set DS will check the ramifications for other properties, I would expect that to have an impact on load times though I've not checked.

A lot has to do with the morphs you have installed or a figure has in use. The more characters you have the slower poses are to apply.

That wouldn't explain why purchased poses load more quickly than homemade ones.

Yeah. I suspect it is a combination of things, not just a sole thing.

The PA probably has a streamlined process that does not save unwanted data in a pose. They might only use bones to design their poses.

The home user could be creating the pose a number of ways some of which may take longer, such as baking to transforms, using pose controls, storing morphs etc. with the pose.

I've long wanted a more streamlined pose saving utility which will just check the relevent jots when you save a preset. Or a script that will do this. Its very ugly under the hood, and gets worse by the year, with the lack of quality control in some products.
