What happened to 3D Universe?

in The Commons
Hi,
does someone know if 3D Universe still exists? I have a problem (https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/458811/scene-tools-3-mirror-script-error#latest) with their Scene Tools 3 product and tried to reach them using email
and their Facebook page, but no response. Does someone know how to address this problem?
Best regards
Stefan

3d Universe is still selling here https://www.daz3d.com/3d-universe
But for problems with content bought here, you will have to contact the store support: https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new (click first on Login).
Vendors here are not giving direct support.
..also, open a topic on the Nuts & Bolts Forum describing the issue you are experiencing..
Ehm ... he did that (the link is in his message).
How did you install this? It's making a server call. Whatever you did, try uninstalling and reinstalling it with DIM.
We are away from the Studio until 11 Jan 2021. We've made a note to address this issue when we are back.
Happy 2021 to all!
I sent in a ticket to Daz like 6 months ago about that with several follow up queries and no response...I’m still hoping it will be fixed or they will have to refund me even though it’s been months...
I submitted a help request about issues with Scene Tools Set 1 over a year ago. The product was never updated. The help request #316395 is still open. So I have never purchased any of the other tool sets. Maybe you will have better luck.
WOW. And why isn't Daz responding to a product with complaints six months ago, and OVER A YEAR AGO?????
AND they said they were aware of the issue!
Yes, they will give you a refund, even after 30 days, if you submitted a help request within that time limit, and the product was never fixed.
good to know that those guys seem to be not that supportive. Over to my greylist....
That's just silly. PAs pay Daz to support their products. It's Daz that should go on the greylist.
The OP hasn't updated this thread saying how they installed it. For what it's worth, I own this product and it works correctly on my system without. Installed with DIM. It appears that the OP installed with Daz Connect, which I wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole.
Unrelated, their Dayton bundle comes with a really nice dForce hair you can get as a solo item.
One of my favorite dforce hairs, always take an opportunity to praise it.
You might be able to use it by itself, but you can't "get" it as a separate item anywhere I've found. But yeah, 3DUniverse's hair and also clothing items are pretty great.
Just looked and the hair is part of the bundle, and not available as a stand-alone product.
Hi,
Unfortunately we were not informed by DAZ of this issue.
We have found the issue is caused by having Inverse Kinematics nodes present on the figure selected. DAZ Studio seems to make these nodes available when you us IK to pose your figure.
We have now updated all the relevent scripts to ignore these nodes, and the issue has been resolved. We'll submit the update into the store shortly.
all the best,
Steve
