looking for medieval dress wear for an 18 year old woman?

in The Commons
Was after something for an 18 year old girl and her sister to wear back in medieval era umongst the knights and swords and armour etc etc but really am not sure what type of female wear would suit females in this time period.
My little story is they are the daughters of a king that rules the land so they are by no means poor at all. Any idea's at all? bear in mind these are not queens but the offspring of the queen so I don't expect them to look too glamerous.

Question is how much if any of the medieval clothing in the DAZ store has anything to do with what they actually used back then.
You will need to do some research. I suggest Googling medieval clothes or medieval costume. Fashion varied a lot, depending on the nation and year. The middle ages covers several centuries. Royal princesses would have had some of the fanciest clothes available, second only to the queen and a few wealthy duchesses and countesses.
I assume yuou are looking for Genesis 8 clothes. Some of these might work.

If you're shooting for historical accuracy, you'll have to be a lot more precise than "medieval era." That spans a period of around 1000 years, and though fashions didn't change quite as rapidly as they do today, they still moved on. Even if they aren't (yet) queens (though at the grand old age of 18 they'd probably have already been married and having children of their own back then) they're still royal princesses, with a higher social status than almost any other woman in the country - so glamour should very much be expected of them.
As to recommendations, I think you could make a case for any medieval/princess dress/gown in the store that catches your fancy. Don't be afraid to try dresses from older generations - I find they autofit reasonably well (to G3F at least, I don't use G8F much), and can sometimes be dforced too. Some examples:

If you check out Cybertenko's store on Rendo, they have some nice medieval headgear to top off the outfit (search for "hennin"). Wilmap also has a free medieval dress for G2F.
As an aside, fabric was an expensive commodity in the mddle ages, so using lots of it - in long droopy sleeves, puffy shoulders, long skirts etc. - was a sign of wealth and therefore status. Late in the period, sumptuary laws were introduced to stop merchants and other well-heeled commoners from out-dressing their social betters. Researching those laws might give you some hints on what your girls should be wearing.
Have a lot here to get through. Thanks guys.
You should also check out Moyra's and Outoftouch's stores at Renderosity.
This dress comes with a version for a younger girl (the sister?)

I am pretty sure the versions of both those dresses are the same, the only difference is for the younger girl the hat and corset are hidden.
In actual fact the version without the so called corset is more authentic, whatever the age of the wearer

Wow, that's an amazing dress I should buy!

Ok, that's an amazing dress it turns out I bought already...
The dress https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-bliaut-for-genesis-8-females looks good. Should have a linen structure and not so metallic borders- Borders at that time were made with stitching and weaving, no metallic stripes. Age 18 doesn't matter, at that age, she was sure to be already married for several years, probably had some children. So an adult woman with responsibilities in the household. As such, she would visibly wear some keys. Or is your medieval woman a princess who doesn't have to work?
Accuracy smacuracy! Would it look good at a Ren Fair?
Depends on how earnest the players are on authenticity.
