Convert V4 pose to G8?

vonHobovonHobo Posts: 1,706

I want to convert some V4 / M4 poses to G8F / G8M.

I have a free script that converts G1 poses to G8.

Is Victoria 4 the same as Genesis 1? And can I use that script to convert V4 poses to G8?

Or is there an appropriate tool to do this?

    v4 is based on g3 so a g3 to g8 "should" work.

OOH   was that done by time travelling creators?   V4 was released in 2005   and Genesis 3 was noooot released until  2015    smiley

  • Yep, the bones etc are very different between V4 and G3F/V7, there are, after all, three generations of development between them. I was going to mention my pose transfer script, but Daventaki got there first. There are others, but that one is the most recent.

    Regards,

    Richard.

I always convert V4 > G2 and then G2 > G3. I find the larger jumps when converting between generations lead to more noticeable differences from the source.

Oh my! Thank you for pointing this out.

  • People need to be more specific and talk about Gen2 and Gen3  when they mean generations of figures prior to V4    and refer to Genesis2 and Genesis3  when they mean the newer  figures.     G2 and G3   just don't work any more  as descriptions,   too confusing as the terms were also used for some Non Daz  Poser figures.
