Iray Glass Shaders

I rarely use Iray Glass Shaders.  But I am working on a shower scene, and the glass is not showing up.  I double checked cutout, and looked for anything related to transparency, with no answers so far.

The Room prop's glass seems to be an inner layer and an outer layer.  I need to put the shader on both surfaces.  Any tips for good glass that look realistic ?

First, you can select some glass shader from the list of default shaders available for iRay

and if you want to turn some other surface into glass you need to use the refraction slider which will make it work as a lens.

you can also use opacity to make things transparent like fog or ghost. but this will also disable reflections.

Refraction is used for glass have you checked that, and when you said doesn't show up isthat after you have rendered.?

Daz Studio has some default glass shaders for Iray included with it. If you are applying glass shaders to a flat plane (or 2 flat planes that aren't a closed, 3D object), be sure to use the thin glass shader. If you use the shader with the "thin walled" setting turned off, the flat planes will cast an unnatural shadow in you scene.
